Razer Ferox review

The Razer Ferox speakers are designed to be portable but still pack a punch. These pop-up pint-sized speakers scrap traditional stereo for 360-degree sound. Read our Razer Ferox review to find out more.

The Razer Ferox mobile speakers are designed to allow you to maximise your gaming and music sound experience while on the go. They are definitely small enough to carry around with you, but do they live up to the hype as far as sound quality goes?
Pros:
  • portable
  • handy
  • well made
  • sturdy
Cons:
  • pricey
  • not too good with loud music

Razer Ferox mobile gaming and music speakers

The Ferox are mightily portable speakers that can both fit into the palm of your hand and users can carry it along with them in the provided pouch. These speakers are battery powered and you charge them for around two and a half hours using the included USB charging cable.
Pros:
  • Good midrange audio quality
  • better sound performance than that accessible via your average notebook speakers
  • affordable
  • good battery life
  • colour notification LED light for battery
  • very portable
  • and carry bag provided
Cons:
  • Lacks bass response
  • no in-line controls for volume or skipping tracks
  • and audio performance takes sound quality hit at highest volumes

Fantastic sound and compact/Good battery life!

I thought they would be bigger, really. But these metal speakers are barely taller than my hand is wide. If they were bigger, I couldn't even imagine! These are amazingly powerful and I cannot go to full volume in these in my apartment or I upset my neighbors through the walls!

Sure, they have built-in battery and is good looking. Sound is muffled and blatant. My Humps-NF01 got glitches in cables and had to buy new ones. 'm Very disappointed with the Razer. If one is looking for a pair of speakers to use regularly, this is not for you. Razer Use only in emergencies.

Awesome Speakers

These Tiny Speakers are awesome, I bought it primarily for my desktop computer, even though they are mobile speakers, They have less distortion then you would expect when pushing a pair of speakers like this to their limits.

Good buy!

These little buggers sound crisp and clean, only concern would be to hook up another one with bass as the trade-off for clear music was bass 4/5 good buy

Razer Ferox Mobile Gaming Speakers

Although the $60 Razer Ferox Mobile Gaming Speakers can connect to any audio device with a 3.5-millimeter audio jack, the sonic quality is more on par with the LaCie USB Speakers . Both speaker sets feature an attractive physical design, but unfortunately they're also both better seen than heard.
Pros:
  • Batteries recharge over USB
  • attractive design
  • small form factor includes travel case
Cons:
  • Expensive
  • tinny sound carries little bass power and struggles at loud volumes
