Great Xbox headsets
Overall the product is good. The product is worth the money if you are quite serious about Xbox gaming. If you plan to use it for the TV, computer, AND xbox, then you should get this; its the best of its kind. The 5.1 surround sound system could be more accurate, but you get what you pay for.
Pros:
- This thing has got a great look, and comparing the price, just the look itself is actually worth it
- The 5.1 surround sound and the three modes of preset EQs give you an amazing sound quality, whether it be shooting grubs to death on GoW 3, killing a dragon on Skyrim, or just watching a movie.
Cons:
- I haven't tried the mic yet, but the length looks too short and it is completely unmovable in terms of flexibility
- It can only be put up to be muted
- You can't bend it closer to your mouth
- Also, the ear cups aren't very comfortable.

AMAZING!!!!
I have had the headset for a couple months now and LOVE it!! 1000x better than any other headset out there. The sound is so crisp and clear. Plus the other gamers don't get any echo effects like I have had with previous headsets or even feedback when I am not even talking on the mic.

- one of the best investments ever

I ordered this from pixmania on the 1st Jan 2013 along with a promo coupon and they were the cheapest price around. Received an estimate delivery date of 7th-9th and received it on the 8th - so first of all, thanks for the info! Product arrived from warehouse very well packaged and secure.

Thing is awesome
I wanted to get this when it first came out but being 16 at the time I couldn't afford it, but now that I finally bought it it's awesome, and I don't get any interference from the other wireless devices I own. It's great.

Awesome Headset !
This razer gaming headset has fantastic looks and the sound quality of its 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound is so clear i can hear people walking accoss the map on some shooter games like call of duty and gears of war ! HIGH RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A AWESOME HEADSET !

its good if you only want to use for game audio and not game chat. I like it myself i use it for xbox 360, but is also compatible with pc for pc gaming. I believe they can work for ps3 but are not chat compatible and that is because they have to be plugged in to a xbox 360 controller in order to use...

- very simple controls
- bult in eq

- mic is too senitive
- game chat volume way to low

These previous reviewers are idiots
A lot of people don't seem to understand that this is designed for the 360 not the PC and Razer didn't really intend for it to be on PC. That being said if you do have an optical audio port (I've never had a motherboard without one) and Dolby Home Theatre software you can get 5.1 working quite well...
Pros:
- -Looks amazing
- Awesome charging dock
- Great reach
- Lots of ways to adjust levels
Cons:
- -5.1 is a bitch to get working on a pc
- need right hardware -Uncomfortable unless worn just right -Can't get microphone and 5.1 to work at same time on PC

Razer Chimaera 5.1 headset review: aural pleasures
The sound is a master class of design. Sure, we've all experience Dolby Pro Logic II 5.1 surround sound before at the films, or at home with a fairly expensive and room-filling setup. But receiving the same level of quality in a set of headphones is an experience within itself....
Pros:
- The sound fills your brain
- tricking it into hearing footsteps
- direction gunshots
- muffled screams
- and even the lightest of audio notes without
Cons:
- The headphones has complex

Absolutely perfect.
So I previously used Turtle Beaches X11's, which were pretty good. There was a distinct noise when a film went silent etc and the cable knotted CONSTANTLY but aside from that they served me well. Unfortunately they broke through wear and tear and as such I was after a replacement.
