Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus Review: back to the future for the dynamic duo

One of the major concerns about Into the Nexus, before playing it, was whether it would be of a significant length. Whilst the main story can be blasted through in five hours, there is plenty to keep you playing longer: the Challenge mode (i.e.

Reliable classic gameplay; Some new twists; High replayability

Weak humor; Poor A.I; Some lack of polish

Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus

Prior to moving towards a more multiplatform approach, Insomniac Games was responsible for two extraordinary franchises for the PlayStation 3: 'Resistance: Fall of Man' and the 'Ratchet & Clank' future series.

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus PS3 Review

If you're anything like me, you've been with Insomniac from the beginning. You may even remember one of the later Spyro 2 levels – Metropolis – which was pretty much a Ratchet and Clank prototype. It even had clank in it, kind of.

Back to the Basics

This game is easy but enjoyable to play. A game with an easily accessible Platnium trophy. The new weapons are fun, but they did throw some old ones in which made it feel like a game that was rushed to get out before the holidays.

Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus review

The fourth game in the Ratchet and Clank franchise’s Future timeline, Into The Nexus brings to a close a story last visited in 2009 and also sees the popular series depart Sony’s soon-to-be-eclipsed seventh generation console. Is it a fond farewell? Gareth Talbot investigates.

Features the usual batch of crazy weapons and gadgets, both new and old; Great animation and sound; Loads of callbacks for the fans; No tower defence!

Even at its reduced price, still feels like it's over too soon; The game's puzzle aspects are a bit undercooked

Ratchet & Clank: Nexus Review

For a budget price you get to spend some quality pre-PS4 time saying goodbye to the last generation – and indeed Insomniac themselves where Sony are concerned – with a perfect encapsulation of what made Ratchet & Clank one of the company's notable first party success stories.

J'adore les jeux de Ratchet and Clank!

Je retombe en enfance quand je joue à Ratchet and Clank! Série de jeux à essayer et en plus toujours moins cher chez Wallmart à la sortie! A se procurer!

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus

Nexcellent For whatever reason, the Ratchet & Clank series never really grabbed me during the PlayStation 2 era. Maybe I was spending too much time playing Jak and Daxter (or perhaps I was adverse to games with ampersands in their titles) and the million other mascot platformers at the time, but it...

Ratchet & Clank: Nexus

The swampland of Planet Thram stretches as far as the eye can see. A spray of small islands pock the landscape, as do sheer rocky cliffs, rising from the murky waters at random intervals, like teeth in a rotten mouth.

Weapons and upgrades; Jetpack; Great sense of humour; Challenge mode

Weak last level
