Don't bother to buy if you don't have XBL

There's legit next to no offline content, so much for “Some of the game requires xbox live gold”… Nearly all the game does.

Not Enough Game

As is be coming the norm in games released these days there is no single player story mode. A group of 10 of so training missions comprises the fun for a single player. The online multi player matches are only 5 vs 5.

Good times and its getting better...

A lot more fun then I thought it was going to be. I really like how the "renown points" function in the game to purchase more equipment and operators. The system is set up so players can gain access to 4 operators very quickly, from a selection of 16 .

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege

The opening cinematic for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege introduces a new type of terrorist, a white-masked group that's "indiscriminate of age, race, or religion." This serves the game's nonexistent campaign well, while also emphasizing the barren, aimless nature of the experience.

Rainbow Six Siege is already fighting a difficult battle trying to enforce a more methodical vision of a competitive shooter. It's a minor miracle that Ubisoft Montreal has built such a solid foundation in that regard.

Rainbow Six: Siege

While lone players are left cold, and hit detection can be inconsistent, the new tactical environmental destruction and tense atmosphere make for a fierce and focused multiplayer experience.

Micro-destruction adds new tactical depth; Brilliantly balanced asymmetrical action; Well-designed maps that feel fresh each time

Needless microtransactions in a full-priced game; Spotty hit detection; Not much in terms of single player

Sometimes I think critics -- and the consumer -- expect all games to be all things to all people. Take a game that only has a strong single player campaign. What! No multiplayer support? the critics complain.

Rainbow Six Siege review – Rainbow climbing high

One of the best multiplayer experiences of the year, but the cost of entry and the lack of content make it a harder sell then it should be.

Hostage Rescue is excellent and the wide range of different operators and maps all work well; The other modes are also fun, if less substantial; Destruction effects are fantastic

There's only three modes, one of which is a bare bones single-player; Distasteful use of microtransactions; Lack of communication can make the game almost unplayable
