Alien Rage Review

I'd hate to wax poetic for a game like Alien Rage , the most recent offering by CI Games. It's kind of a weird character in the School of Shooters. Whereas games like Uncharted and Bioshock are the varsity jock and valedictorian respectively, Alien Rage is that kid everybody is aware of and likes...

Capable shooter with exploding things; Nice; smooth graphics

Occasional bugs; Decent story if you bother finding it

Rage

Rage is a first person shooter that has many similarities to both Fallout and Borderlands. The game also incorporates a number of driving elements into its gameplay and was released in 2011. Rage takes place in a post apocalyptic game world after an asteroid strikes the Earth.

Impressive visuals – Strong gameplay – Fun multiplayer

World lacks character

Rage

After spending just a few hours in Rage's world, we were overcome with a feeling not just rare in videogames but in any work of fiction...

One of the most beautiful games ever; Awesome FPS gameplay; Nifty driving as well

Racing minigames are superfluous; Some noticeable pop-in of textures; Disappointing last section

Rage creates an engrossing world full of dazzling detail and entertaining shooter action.

The postapocalyptic future looks better than ever. From the moment you step out under the brilliant, cloud-studded sky of a ruined world, Rage proclaims its technical and artistic mastery.

Remarkable visual design; A host of charismatic characters; Enjoyable array of weapons and items; Speedy and gratifying vehicular action

Story isn't strong enough to make you care about the primary conflict; You must remember to save manually or risk losing significant progress

Rage Review

Rage is one of the best games of 2011 so far, yet it doesn't bring any massive changes to an extremely crowded market. But there is no question that id Software's masterpiece will make the short list for that coveted title of games you must own in 2011, especially if you like first-person shooters,...

Rage

Not all Wasteland inhabitants are friendly, however. Packs of bandits have taken up residence in their own little communities, and each group has its own look, combat tactics, and interior decorations.

Rage

Rage is a pretty game. It's almost too pretty for the setting it depicts: a wasted, post-apocalyptic world that's been devastated by a giant asteroid impact. It's a little refreshing that it's not all darkness and brown haze, actually. There's tons of detail loaded into everything.

A Rage In The Wasteland

So I've finally finished playing all the DLCs for Fallout: New Vegas, and was happy with the storyline presented there. But now my need for a post-apocalyptic game comes to the forefront. So it was with surprise that Rage, another title published by Bethesda, landed on my desk.
