Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare PS4 Review
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is one of the most surprising shooters to launch this year. While it may have been easy to laugh off PopCap's venture

Green day.
Competitive shooters are serious business. They depict epic battles between modern-day soldiers and insurgents in war-torn cities, or conflicts between space marines and aliens on distant worlds, or skirmishes between battle-hardened men and subterranean creatures who try to slice each other to bits...
Pros:
- Pleasantly lighthearted tone and colorful
- appealing environments
- Good assortment of well-balanced class abilities
- Gardens & Graveyards game type fosters fun
- hotly contested battles
Cons:
- A bit insubstantial for a $40 game
- Process for unlocking class variants is frustratingly random

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare review
Last year, the announce trailer at E3 sparked one of the loudest uproars from any of the game launches I'd been to. I just knew this was going to be a strange and fantastic collaboration between PopCap and EA.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
The idea of turning what was a tower defense game into a third person multiplayer game was truly inspirational. A third person Plants vs Zombie game simply shouldn't work, yet somehow it does.

Seeds of Destruction
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare seems like a Venn diagram in video game form, created only because EA suspected that there was an overlap between people who enjoyed cartoony iPad games and those who like team-based online shooters.
Pros:
- Planting my sunflower and wiping out three enemies in a single beam of light
Cons:
- Trying to stop any boss in the single-player mode

Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare review – fresh?produce
The least brown shooter ever made, with the colourful graphics and accessible controls supported by an imaginative and surprisingly well-crafted online experience.
Pros:
- Varied and generally well balanced character classes
- Well-crafted maps and a great sense of humour
- Garden Ops is great
- No microtransactions (or at least not yet)
Cons:
- Imprecise weapons and often vague impact animation
- No single-player and very limited split-screen options

Please make buyers aware!
We didn't get to play this game because it requires XBOX Gold Live for online game play. This isn't a normal "pop it in and play." This is for online gaming only. Buyers beware!
