Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (Xbox One)
I'm suffering from shooter fatigue. I abandoned the genre once the video-game industry became oversaturated with drab, pseudo-realistic military skirmishes that I could only differentiate by the name on the game's packaging.- Incredibly fun shooting action
- Surprisingly deep strategy
- Addictive sticker system
- Charming graphics and animation
- Environments not very interactive
- Local split-screen co-op requires Xbox Live Gold
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare review
In the space of three weeks, EA is set to release two separate multiplayer-only, Xbox exclusive (well, not available on PS4 anyway) squad-based shooters. Neither are free-to-play, and amazingly neither feature nefarious microtransactions.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is the perfect antidote to Call of Duty and Battlefield fatigue, replacing the grim, decrepit, gray-and-brown battle zone with vibrantly colorful gardens and crypts, where unlikely nemeses face off in hilarious, and strategic, skirmishes. The game takes Plants vs.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare
'Garden Warfare' is beautiful, sounds great and it plays pretty well too. PopCap doesn't push any boundaries from a gameplay standpoint. That's understandable; this first installment is more evolutionary than revolutionary. The fact that it all works so well is impressive enough.
Great fun.
Game probably isn't for the BF4 or COD crowd.- Plants vs Zombies in a third person shooter
- Game is easy to pick up even for people who don't like shooters or are good at them
- Limited modes and maps
- Splitscreen needs some work
- Splitscreen should be for online play as well
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare (Xbox One)
Not a five star title by any means. Has some definate entertainment value. This is kind of a modern warfare meets supermario mix. Animated cartoon like war betwen plants and zombies. Complete vs. battles or indurance to earn coins and upgrade abilities/ weapons.
Xbox One Review - 'Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare'
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare delivers an action experience in a massive 3-D world. The title features four-player co-op and 24-player competitive modes. Blast zombies, plants and characters across an animated PvZ landscape.
Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare
It is seems a shame the game didna€?t launch before Christmas a€" on this evidence, with its kid-friendly content and rock-solid gameplay, it had the potential to have cleaned up, and help Microsoft move a bunch of additional Ones off the shelves in the process.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare (Xbox One) Review
The phenomenally successful Plants Vs. Zombies is a game I avoided until a girl I was dating withheld sex from me until I played it. It was pretty good. The game wasn't bad either. Plants Vs. Zombies has a weird charm to it.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare review
Fresh, fun and polished, Garden Warfare is a surprising entry on Xbox One. It might lack the grunt of more refined shooters on the market, but here is a game not necessarily looking to score points on the realism scale: it's hilarious and bravely challenging, bringing forward a smooth, accessible...- + Hilarious battles
- + Engaging combat and co-op play
- + Satisfying progression
- + Sleek
- polished presentation
- - A single-player mode would have been nice
- - Sticker packs often don't feel worth the price of admission
