Couch co-op
Couch co-ops are getting hard to find and this game has it. Downside is you'll always have to play as the plants. Doesn't detract from the fun, just the variety. The online game play is loads of fun
Dead and loving it - Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare review
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is endearing on so many levels. This isn't exactly a surprise, considering PopCap's track record. From Peggle to Zuma, from Bookworm Adventures to Bejeweled, each of their games has a distinct, though decidedly casual style.- Accessible for newcomers
- yet deep enough for shooter fans to enjoy
- Classes are varied and important
- Tons of challenges and unlockables
- Budget price sweetens the deal
- Only a half-dozen maps at launch
- Splitscreen mode only available in survival mode
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare review (XB1)
I don't recall ever thinking as I played Plants vs. Zombies on the PC that it would make the perfect third-person shooter, but that's precisely how I responded to the first trailer for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare .
Anything But Garden Variety
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, you know that zombies are the "it" thing right now. From The Walking Dead in graphic novels and on television to the ever-popular Left for Dead series, all things undead are in vogue.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare (Xbox One) Review – A Refreshing Shooter with Solid Roots

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare
. Killing zombies in video games has been a staple in gaming for as long as I can remember, but using Plants to do it? Well, that was definitely something that hadn't been done before. What set- + Wonderfully wacky
- + Fantastic customization
- + Split-screen co-op
- + Balanced multiplayer
- - Unlocking characters is unnecessarily tedious
- - Needs more co-op variety
- - Only the primary profile gaining experience in co-op
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare
EA and PopCap Games have unleashed the craziest title so far in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise with Garden Warfare . The game utilizes the Frostbite 3 engine to produce one of the best presentations yet for the series packed full of excitement and zaniness.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (Xbox One)
I'm suffering from shooter fatigue. I abandoned the genre once the video-game industry became oversaturated with drab, pseudo-realistic military skirmishes that I could only differentiate by the name on the game's packaging.- Incredibly fun shooting action
- Surprisingly deep strategy
- Addictive sticker system
- Charming graphics and animation
- Environments not very interactive
- Local split-screen co-op requires Xbox Live Gold
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare review
In the space of three weeks, EA is set to release two separate multiplayer-only, Xbox exclusive (well, not available on PS4 anyway) squad-based shooters. Neither are free-to-play, and amazingly neither feature nefarious microtransactions.
