Plantronics has been putting out a steady stream of pretty affordable headphones that deliver good performance for the money, and the BackBeat Go 810 fits right in with them. Featuring noise-canceling in an over-ear design for $150, in many ways it's the "light" version of the company's BackBeat Pro 2, which lists for $200.

This new over-ear headphone performs well and is half the price of Bose and Sony premium noise-canceling headphones.

Along with the three BackBeat Fit models that I reviewed a few days ago, Plantronics announced on Monday two new Go headsets: the in-ear Go 410 and the over-ear Go 810. The governing idea behind the two units is to bring wireless noise cancelation to the masses at a more affordable price.

That said, if you don't want to spend $200 (£230, AU$250) on a set of wireless headphones but still want active noise cancellation (ANC), the all-new Plantronics BackBeat Go 810 are an excellent choice.
