Plantronics has recently released it's new more mainstream pair of Bluetooth headphones the Backbeat SENSE. This pair is build more for the everyday on the go use and clocks in at $179.99 on the price. This joins their line up which includes the Backbeat PRO, and Backbeat FIT.

Although the audio quality may not be the fullest-sounding around, the u-shaped curve, clarity, dynamic range, and low levels of distortion deliver a superb and enjoyable experience. The BackBeat Sense does transmit touch-related noise through its frame, and the isolation is only ok.

Purchased this after sending a different set back to Amazon. The other set was over the ears, and was uncomfortable for my wife, for whom this was a Christmas gift. This on the ear set has been very satisfactory for her. Excellent sound including low and high ranges, and long battery life.

Everything needs to be enhanced these days to stand out from the crowd-everyone needs a schtick. Potato chips need wacky truffle-oil flavoring, cars need a carbon fiber wrap, and well, most celebrities keep their plastic surgeons on speed-dial.
