Pioneer SP-PK22BS Speaker System

Twice a year, New Yorkers revel in Restaurant Week. Penny-pinching diners flood into customarily high-priced restaurants to enjoy fixed-price menus fit for the immortals. For a few brief, shining moments, economic class distinctions break down, and ordinary middle-income people get to invade ritzy...

Bang for the Buck

I have one med/small bedroom in my house dedicated to my music collection which is mostly vinyl at this point. I decided to condense my existing collection to one one wall of the room and needed to be a bit more concise with my setup.

If this is all you can afford, wait until you can afford better.

Not exactly sure why there are a lot of glowing reviews on these. I guess it's those people who have been listening to their 5w LCD TV speakers. These bookshelf speakers, as well as any of the speakers in this line, aren't very good at all.

Cheap price when on sale; Decent cabinet quality

These don't do well in lows, mids or highs; Inefficient, with a poor sound stage

Great speakers for a small price!

Amazing speakers for the price, should cost 3 times as much, blew my Polk speakers away that cost twice as much, 4inch woofer is my only complaint, works well at low to medium high, can't handle large bass sounds at high levels... but I have a sub for that.. so good I bought a second set for a gift

Purchased these speakers based on the positive reviews to use as rear speakers in a 5.1 surround sound system. Using them now as main speakers in a two channel setup for music paired with a Marantz cd5004 and a vintage Yamaha intergrated amp from the early 90's.

Great speakers, amazing price

If you do your research, you will see that is the one of the best set of designer speakers that you can buy for less than $300. There is a matching centre (C22) and tower variants (FS52) for piecing together a 5.1' setup. I wouldn't suggest the matched Pioneer sub.

They have a warm; deep forgiving sound Good size; appealing wood finish Pleasant frequency response for most people

A bit strong on the bass in terms of their frequency response

Pioneer SP-BS22-LR loudspeaker

I often receive letters from Stereophile readers. I've even gotten a few letters from female readers, one an attractive young lover of tube gear who sent me a picture of herself and [ sigh ] her boyfriend.
