A quantum leap for amateur video production, and a superb stills camera to boot

This my third GH4. I primarily shoot classical music concerts and operas/musicals with locked off cameras, so having a camera that stops recording at 29 mins 59 seconds, is not an option for me. Lighting is not normally an issue, so f/4.0 at 640 ISO covers most of my theater shooting needs.

Very good M4/3 camera which I enjoyed using for almost a year, until switching to the Olympus EM1. The reason for the change was Panasonic has image stabilization in their lenses and the Olympus has it built into the camera, which for me was an advantage at the time.

My footage had a very faint vertical blue line flickering from top to bottom on all mp4 footage but only in 4K. I changed all the settings that I could think of that might be causing this. Nothing worked. Then I came across the video mode for MOV as opposed to MP4.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4, which is a mirrrorless camera using a Micro Four Thirds (MFT) sensor, has nearly the same body design as the GH3 with only minor differences in overall dimensions.

Although i wish it was full frame, i solved the problem by purchasing a Metabones adapter to get the 35mm size. This camera is a beast for the price. Yes the lowlight could be a little better, but the 4k footage this camera produces makes up for it.
