The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 is a worthy successor the the GH2 Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 which precedes it. Externally almost identical, the GH4 packs much more processing power which turns it into a faster camera and gives it the ability to capture 4K Ultra-HD video, the must-have-of-the-day .

- Class-leading autofocus
- Short shutter-lag

- Excellent EVF with Eye-Start sensor
- Instant video recording start and stop
- Highly customizable function buttons
- Good ergonomics,...
Cons:
- Below avarage Auto White-Balance
- Overly complex feature interactions
- Modal WB
- ISO and EC
- Exposure-Priority only in M mode
- Wrong Live-Histogram
- Lower-rear control-dial too recessed
- Weak LCD hinge and memory door

Good for the price
This camera does a lot of things fairly well. There are several cameras in this price range that do one or two things better but if you can only get one camera this is the one.

My footage had a very faint vertical blue line flickering from top to bottom on all mp4 footage but only in 4K. I changed all the settings that I could think of that might be causing this. Nothing worked. Then I came across the video mode for MOV as opposed to MP4.

Panasonic Lumix GH4 4K camera hands-on review
Panasonic's new Lumix G Series camera is the DMC-GH4, and it packs features that make it more than just a camera for still photographs. It's presented as a 'hybrid' model, meaning it can be used just as effectively for video (in particular, 4K video) in addition to regular photography.
