Panasonic Lumix GH4 4K camera review

The GH4 is pitched as a professional-quality camera and, while it might not unseat the top-end DSLRs from Nikon and Canon in the hearts and hands of people who make their living from photography, it’s certainly the most enthusiast-friendly of Panasonic’s Micro Four Thirds cameras thus far. Build quality is superb, autofocus is fast and accurate, still image quality is among the best that we’ve seen from a mirrorless camera and video quality? Well, we reckon that is the best we’ve seen from a mirrorless camera. It’s not cheap, and it’s not particularly compact, but if you’re looking for a versatile, hardy camera to accompany you on and document your travels through both stills and video, we can think of few better choices. Amazing Doesn't Begin To Describe

I could go on and on about how awesome this camera is, and how sick it is that's a true 'film/cine 4k DSLR/DSLM' with amazing qualities and what not, but all I'm gonna say is this. With the right lenses and the right adapters... this thing rivals even a 2k-4k RED!
Pros:
  • 24p And 24hz Modes
  • Easy To Use
  • Fast/accurate auto-focus
  • Good Image Quality
  • Good Image Stabilization
  • Large Clear LCD
  • Small / Compact
  • Truly Cinematic Look
  • Variable Frame Rates
Cons:
  • 10bit 422 Hdmi Only Rec
  • 420 Compression To Card

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 review

Panasonic Lumix G cameras already sit a notch above other compact system cameras (CSCs) and SLRs for video picture quality. The GH4 is the latest addition to the range, and from the outside it's hard to distinguish from the GH3 .

Panasonic Lumix GH4 review

We've often thought of the Panasonic GH series as the best consumer interchangeable lens system for video capture on the market. It's not hard to see why: the Panasonic Lumix GH4 offers 4K video capture at usable frame rates. On paper that's untouchable at this level.
Pros:
  • Fast in all conditions
  • 12fps burst mode
  • silent electronic shutter option
  • movie mode as good as it gets and will sell the camera alone
  • fully featured screen and electronic viewfinder
  • pinpoint and customisable autofocus options
Cons:
  • Lacks smooth gradation in images
  • needs better battery life
  • some button placement cramped
  • would like a larger viewfinder
  • price may seem a lot if you're not here for 4K video
  • autofocus generalisation in low-light conditions

Get what you pay for! | Quality!

Purchased this camera, arrived very quickly, and safely. The 4K is incredible, along with the 96fps. I know this camera will be with me for a long time. Struggled to find a dislike until I used it at night with the kit lens. Not the greatest, a lot of noise at 3200 ISO.
Pros:
  • Build quality
  • 4k
  • 96fps
  • Easy of use
  • Image / video quality
  • Versatile
Cons:
  • Low Light capabilities
  • Availability of lens
