Game changer: Panasonic's 4K-friendly G7 reviewed
Panasonic's latest take on the mirrorless camera not only show it has the guts to be a great camera, but a very creative and forward-thinking one, too.
Pros:
- Comfortable to hold
- Loads of function buttons
- 4K burst and pre-burst modes are literal game changers and perfect for sports or high-speed photography
- Decent shots are possible from this camera
- though we'd change that kit lens first
- Support for wireless included
Cons:
- Eye-sensor can sometimes be a little fiddly
- switching off the rear LCD when your eye isn't behind the viewfinder
- No charging from the camera itself
- and an external charger is still needed

Pros:

- SLR like grip and handling
- Excellent external controls and ergonomics
- High speed focus and shutter response

Cons:
- Larger than G6
- Loud shutter (unless you use electronic shutter
- Does not record Cine 4K video resolution
- Plastic construction may not be to everyone's liking

Amazing photos, amazing videos!
I've had this camera for 30 days now, and I cant put it down. I am having an amazing time shooting Night Photography. It's also the perfect size for street photos as well. Very happy with my purchase.

I ordered the G7 as a B-camera for my GH4, but returned it as it has too many limitations (limited recording length, low bit rates, short battery life) for my workflow. Its a good camera for those wishing to get into 4K video, but the limitations would restrict its use for unattended use as a...

4K for during 4000, there are almost poetic. Extremely affordable camera for those who are interested in both still and movie and want to take the next step in video quality. Terrible Quick AF for still images.

Great budget camera
This is not meant to replace the GH4, but it could. Small, easy to carry for long periods of time. Buy this camera.

This is the best camera you can buy at this price. No other camera is this cheap with features like Panasonic G7. Totally recommended for cinematographers.

great bit of kit
hi i bought this camera 2 weeks ago and have not put it down its my very first camera apart from ones that come with me smart phone which is no comparison great for all my projects nice one panasonic and nice one littlewoods

Older technology = bargain!
Well made, compact and excellent image quality thanks to the f2.8 Leica lens. Bargain price now as it has been replaced by the FZ330 with Wi-Fi and a 4k video, but the new model is bigger and heavier and much more expensive.
