Worth All 5 Stars
The FZ2500 is an amazing cinematography camera. It is the updated version of the original Panasonic FZ1000. You can shoot 4k video at 50M, 100M, 200M and 10bit. The stabilization works fantastic and produces smooth video as long as your not walking fast or running, as with all non-action camera...
Panasonic nailed it!
I cannot comment on still photography, since I use this camera for video purpose only. It is perfect video camera for run-n-gun shooter. I use this camera with zhiyun crane and it works just fine. In short, this is GH4 with built in glass and ND filters.
Everything I thought it would be, and more.
Easy to use, easy to understand, great results. I love all the options and the results so far are superb.- Convenient
- Easy to use
- Exceeded expectations
Great camera
I'm very pleased with the FZ-2500 but it will take a while to become really familiar with all that it offers. I'm upgrading from its baby (but older) brother, the FZ-200. Pictures are sharp and crisp, 20X magnification is great with no loss of sharpness, the automatic functions (aperture,, shutter...
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500
A direct successor to the FZ1000 , which we reviewed in June 2014, the new Panasonic Lumix FZ2500 camera has a longer zoom lens and introduces some sophisticated video recording functions to a popular line of SLR-like, fixed-lens digicams.
Review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 digital camera
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 digital camera is a very interesting beast. It is priced at significantly more than many interchangeable lens cameras, yet it has a fixed lens. It's also as large as many interchangeable lens cameras. And Panasonic calls it a hybrid video and still camera.- Great all-in-one package
- extremely useful zoom range
- excellent image stabilisation
- useful video features
- Weird view through viewfinder
The Lumix DMC-FZ2500/FZ2000 is Panasonic's top-end enthusiast bridge camera that can handle both still and video shooting, though it's clearly focused on the latter, with its 4K capability and numerous capture tools.
But this camera is good with video and all of its options and easibility
If you want crisp photos, you may not want to spend $1,100. But this camera is good with video and all of its options and easibility. However, I have been trying to get clear, crisp pictures from this camera, and can't.

- Ample buffer
- Solid ergonomics
