There's no question that Overwatch is a masterfully designed game. The wide array of amazing, unique characters, and the original ways they interact with one another, make for a peerless teamplay experience in the shooter space.

Based on my time in Closed and Open Beta along with a limited bit of time after launch, I initially gave the game a pretty favorable "9" rating. After a full week and slightly more than one full day of actual game time, my opinion has trended decidedly downward so I feel I must revise accordingly.

Overwatch combines fun objective based mechanics, and strong shooting mechanics, to provide the best experience in the genre since the launch of Team Fortress 2. The game feels great, even when you're losing.

Overwatch started life as a long gestating project simply dubbed "Titan". It was described by the development team as an ambitious MMO, and perhaps so much so the game was ultimately cancelled. All was not lost as much of the multiplayer components remain and can been seen here.
