Overwatch Review

BlizzCon 2014's opening ceremony was one of the most powerful gaming presentations ever delivered. Not only did it celebrate 20 years of WarCraft , but it included the announcement of what quickly became the most anticipated upcoming first-person shooter: Overwatch .

Great hero diversity and design; Beautiful presentation; Optimized on PC; Cohesive gameplay; All 12 maps are fantastic; Welcoming to newcomers; Plenty of depth for veterans

Microtransaction-focused collectibles; Support hero options are limited; Tags

Overwatch

Overwatch is the best multiplayer-shooter I've ever played. Yes, I'm aware that those are some big words, but I have thought hard about it, and the conclusion is clear. Overwatch PS4 Review

In the melting pot of first-person-shooters, where the military themes of greys and browns combine with such futuristic staples as mechs and drones, Overwatch is a game which seeks to break out from the herd and stamp down its own identity.

Overwatch Review

Not since my early teenage years has a first person shooter so unanimously captured my imagination in the manner that Overwatch has. On the rare instances that I've been dragged away from it over th

Each character is massively different; Brimming with personality; Incredibly fun and designed; Looks and sounds amazing

Quality of matches heavily depends on other players; No access to lore in game

There's no question that Overwatch is a masterfully designed game. The wide array of amazing, unique characters, and the original ways they interact with one another, make for a peerless teamplay experience in the shooter space.

Based on my time in Closed and Open Beta along with a limited bit of time after launch, I initially gave the game a pretty favorable "9" rating. After a full week and slightly more than one full day of actual game time, my opinion has trended decidedly downward so I feel I must revise accordingly.

Overwatch (PS4) Review

Overwatch combines fun objective based mechanics, and strong shooting mechanics, to provide the best experience in the genre since the launch of Team Fortress 2. The game feels great, even when you're losing.

Game Review: Overwatch

Overwatch started life as a long gestating project simply dubbed "Titan". It was described by the development team as an ambitious MMO, and perhaps so much so the game was ultimately cancelled. All was not lost as much of the multiplayer components remain and can been seen here.

Variety and character balance; + Solid and well made maps; + Accessible; + FUN

Must play together; No "I" in "Team
