One Plus says the Nord is "pretty much everything you could ask for". That's a big call but this 5G phone certainly delivers plenty of fantastic features.

Nice to look at and scroll through

The Nord has an impressive 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate that allows for smoother scrolling and sharper swiping.

Great shots back and front

The Nord is already receiving acclaim for the excellent shots from its camera set up: 48 + 8 +5 + 2MP rear cameras, with 32 + 8MP front cameras. What stands out are the 48MP primary sensor which comes with optical image stabilisation (OIS) to eliminate blur and shake, while the 32MP primary front camera includes advanced image processing smart features for clear and detailed selfies.

Bright, brighter, brightest

A noteworthy feature of the Nord is the 2,048 levels of automatic brightness for smoother brightness transitions and enhanced eye comfort.  This is evident whether you're checking social media or browsing a web page.

Faster than before

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G Mobile Platform that powers the Nord improves CPU speeds and delivers 30% faster graphic rendering than its predecessor. The 8GB of RAM is more than enough to run all your favourite apps at once, and in seamless style.

Charging at warp speed

Warp Charge 30T can refill Nord from 0 to 70% in just half an hour and, as an important bonus, it will even keep your phone cool during heavy use.

  • Well designed case included in box
  • Android / OxygenOS both smooth and decent

OnePlus Nord 8+128GB Blue Marble MP 04042 review

The OnePlus Nord is one of OnePlus' strongest launches ever, just because it offers so much for such a low price. Like the OnePlus 7 Pro launch last year, the Nord is one of those phones that is just so miles ahead of its Android competition, it will probably compare favorably to mid-range phones...
Pros:
  • A 90Hz display, at this price range, is an absolutely killer feature
  • A flat, distortion-free display, just like every content, app, and website creator intended
  • A modern, slim bezel design that is indistinguishable from a flagship smartphone.
Cons:
  • OnePlus doesn't do monthly security updates. It'll be more like every other month
  • No always-on display
  • Facebook crapware
  • Shipping six mediocre cameras instead of two good cameras.
