OnePlus Nord 8+128GB Blue Marble MP 04042 review
OnePlus has made an emphatic return to the mid-range market with the OnePlus Nord – it's an affordable smartphone that's packed with features. There's a great screen, plenty of power, and a set of capable cameras, all wrapped up in a package that belies its affordable price.- Affordable with flagship qualities
- Premium design
- Plenty of camera features
- Average battery life
- Limited notifications space
- No IP rating for water resistance
OnePlus Nord 8+128GB Blue Marble MP 04042 review
The OnePlus Nord offers best-in-class display, main camera, and software, making it the mid-range phone to beat in 2020
OnePlus Nord review
The OnePlus Nord gets its priorities right, delivering flagship fundamentals without the fluff - all at an astonishing price.- 90Hz AMOLED display
- Fantastic main camera
- Oxygen OS software
- Poor macro lens
- Plastic frame
- No wireless charging
OnePlus Nord 8+128GB Blue Marble MP 04042 review
OnePlus got started with affordable so-called “flagship killers” like the OnePlus One and OnePlus 3. But over the years, its phones have become more expensive (as have most phones, to be fair).- Build quality Plastic frame aside, this feels just like a OnePlus phone should — it’s well made and likely to be durable over time
- Display Smooth 90Hz AMOLED panel with a good-enough 1080p resolution and decent brightness levels. It’s also flat, which means no accidental touches or tinted sides.
- Design It’s not unattractive, but it’s certainly a step down from the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro — you just can’t beat those matte glass finishes and centered camera modules
- Cameras (again) Sensor crop zoom is terrible past 2x.

So… it's time to draw the proverbial line in the sand. Is the OnePlus Nord good enough? And is it a "flagship killer"? To the first question, the answer is a big yes, and for the second one, I think it’s not quite there.- Very aggressive price
- outstanding value for the money
- Gorgeous AMOLED screen
- Fast performance
- 90Hz support
- Very fast charging (30W)
- Colors in photos are a bit muted
- lack a bit in liveliness
- No telephoto camera
- macro lens is a gimmick
- No headphone jack
- no expandable storage
- Loudspeaker quality is average
- No wireless charging
OnePlus Nord 8+128GB Blue Marble MP 04042 review
The OnePlus Nord is, on paper and after my test, one of the most beautiful phones made by a brand. OnePlus has understood what was missing from its catalog: a more accessible model.- AMOLED 90 Hz screen
- Great quad-camera performance
- Powerful Snapdragon 765G processor
- Fluid Oxygen OS experience
- Value-for-money
- Dated and flashy design
- No telephoto lens
- No wireless charging
- No IP certification
OnePlus Nord 8+128GB Blue Marble MP 04042 review
The OnePlus Nord is a very good phone full stop – and an absolute bargain at only £379. It looks the part. The screen is great. The rear main camera is great and the battery life is very good.
OnePlus Nord 8+128GB Blue Marble MP 04042 review
OnePlus Nord marks the return of OnePlus phones to a more affordable price point after years of the company jacking up prices on its normal flagship line to Samsung Galaxy levels. It’s a welcomed move by a company who does a lot right with an Android phone, they just can’t seem to stop pricing...
