Olympus E-PL5
The E-PL5 comes bundled with the distinctly plastic-y feeling, retractable M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II R lens (one of over 20 available dedicated Micro Four Thirds lenses), with an interchangeable 'decoration ring', and the same sleek, chic retro styling we'd expect from the Pen range.

This is my walk-around camera. I am a Nikon guy but my SLR is a pig and I wanted something smaller. For the longest time I hesitated to go the four thirds route because of the smaller sensor but I got over it. This is a wonderful camera. It's small, light and solidly built.

Awesome!
I am a novice when it comes to cameras, digital or otherwise. All of the other reviews, seemed to be speaking French, at least for a novice, like me. So I decided it would be a good idea for me to write a review from the "novice" perspective.

OK Camera
The manual zoom lens requires new operating skills if you have only used a point-and-shoot camera with power zoom. Manual zoom and focusing would be easier with a built-in viewfinder.
Pros:
- At a sale price of about $250 or less this is a good camera and a step above many point-and-shoot cameras
- The E-PL3 is small and relatively light weight, with acceptable battery life and takes good quality 12-megapixel images.
Cons:
- The HDMI output is finicky
- It doesn't work with my SONY 55" TV or with my high-end Dell LCD monitor, but does work when plugged into my Onkyo receiver

small, quick auto-focus, moveable LCD, half the price of OM-D, good results
this is an excellent camera. this camera beats everything in size and in picture quality. if you want small camera to take around and do not want to give up on quality and all the options then there is nothing better than this. I use mine with voigtlander 15mm f/4 and results are stunning.

Pen E-PL5
With the OM-D E-M5, Olympus has a real winner with its retro DSLR looks and the fastest autofocus yet on the company's camera. The problem, of course, is that the OM-D E-M5 is on the high-end of the Olympus range, with a price to match.
Pros:
- Fast autofocus
- easy-to-use controls
- nifty touchscreen
- A tad small for people with big hands
Cons:
- A tad small for people with big hands

Awesome camera!
The camera has performed exceptionaly well. The amazing detail and color has lived up to its hype. Even the kit lens has been exceptionally sharp for a starter lens, although the focal lengths are a bit limited, especially when photographing things like garden landscapes or trying to zoom in on...
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Easily Interchangeable
- Fast / accurate auto-focus
- Lightweight
- Nice Bokeh
Cons:
- no complaints

great compact camera extremely fast focus and shutter speed which is great for young kids that move quickly. Heaps of great features like touch screen, scene settings, art features. Can be used on auto or manual. This camera has the portability of a compact camera and the features of a dslr.

Cons:
- None
