First of all, HP Rove is in no way a tablet, but rather an All-in-One computer that you can use away from the desk, but from a distance it can seem like an ordinary tablet. As soon as you get close to...
Amazing camera - wish they stocked it in stores
Great camera for the size and price. The kits lens works fine for daily use and the focus is really fast. I'm also using it with the Panasonic 35-100mm f2.8 lens to shoot theater performances and it's a great combination.- low light
- fast focus
- bright LCD
- compact but capable
- Need to find SCP to easy control
Olympus E-PL5 review
Offering the power of a DSLR within the dimensions of a near pocket compact, the maker's latest retro-styled compact system camera arrives in the Olympus E-PL5, also known as the 'Pen Lite'. It's the direct successor to last summer's Olympus E-PL3 , as there was no E-PL4.- Sophisticated design
- Tilting touch-screen
- Anti shake built into camera
- Small backplate buttons
- Plasticky kit lens
- Lacks convincing grip
Awesome camera at a great value and size!
A aps-c equivalent quality but in the size of a 4/3 camera is nothing more I can ask for from olympus.
Olympus PEN LITE E-PL5 Review
There's one thing that Olympus has mostly got right: stylish camera designs, with clearly labelled functions and layout. However it seems like decades have been spent as the company has fumbled around with its viewfinder menu layout … and the PL5 is no exception.
A big thank you to Photo John for his posts, other mirrorless camera comparisons and giving me the confidence to make the purchase. I am a happy Olympus E-PL5 user! I also agree with Megan's closing review comments here: http://reviews.photographyreview.com/olympus-e-pl5-review-cuba/4 She states,...
- • Price is about half of the OM-D EM-5
- but with many of the same same features and amazing sensor found in this model (Photography Review's Photo John top camera of 2012 - http://reviews.photographyreview.com/2012-camera-of-the-year-olympus-om-d-e-m5
- • Compact design
- flip up screen
- • Intelligent
- • Hot shoe flash doesn't have a big/powerful range (would have also preferred a pop-up
- • Charger unit should be smaller and wall mounted
- • Lacks a viewfinder
Olympus PEN E-PL5 Review
For users upgrading from a simple point-and-shoot to an interchangeable lens camera, the Olympus PEN Lite E-PL5 is a very good model to transition to. Out of the box, the E-PL5 takes great photos. It does take time, however, to learn some of the features of the camera, for which there are plenty.- Fast autofocusing system
- Takes very good photos
- Tilting screen for angled shots or self-portraits
- Special effects and filters allow you to take fun pictures
- Requires playing around to learn features and settings
- Lens is a bit big on what is otherwise a compact camera
- Higher price tag when there's a comparable Olympus camera with similar features
The Olympus PEN E-PL5 shares the same 16-megapixel sensor and processing engine as its big brother, the OM-D E-M5. But it houses those electronics in a smaller, lighter, and less expensive package. And that alone should earn consideration for this handsome micro four-thirds camera .

Olympus, along with Panasonic, helped to create the Micro Four Thirds standard and now they've attempted to perfect it with their new model that improves both on the predecessors and other cameras in their lineup-it even includes the same 16 megapixel sensor as their flagship model, the OM-D E-M5.
Olympus has infused its mid-range PEN with OM-D DNA to positive results.
Although we had some issues with the camera's ergonomics and menu system, the E-PL5 nevertheless impressed us on its technical merits. There's just enough power here for point-and-shoot users who want to stretch their legs a bit, though more advanced users will likely get frustrated with the rather...
