OM System OM-1 Mark II Review: A Pro-Level Camera With An Adventure-Ready Body
I've come to absolutely love the OM System OM-1 Mkii during my time testing it. I was worried that I would find the limitations of a micro four-thirds sensor too difficult to work with, but for the most part, I was delighted with the images I produced using this camera.

OM System OM-1 Mark II Review
The flagship 20-megapixel mirrorless camera gets an AI-powered boost to autofocus performance in its second iteration, plus the ability to tweak images in-camera. This makes for a comprehensive yet still relatively portable and affordable pro-level package compared to the other major brands.
Pros:
- Reassuring rock-solid construction that feels heavier than its 511g weight, Reliably consistent and blisteringly swift high quality performance, Smaller than flagship models from competing brands
Cons:
- Bulkier than the OM-5 despite identical Four Thirds sensor, Less support from third party accessory manufacturers, The OM-5 is low weight, affordable and almost as high-performing

OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II with 12-40mm f/2.8 Lens - Brand New review
The OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II is good for sports and wildlife photography. It can shoot at remarkably fast burst rates in its electronic shutter mode, and the stacked design of its sensor keeps rolling shutter effect to a minimum, though artifacts are still possible with very fast-moving subjects.
Pros:
- Excellent build quality, with an IP53-rating against dust, moisture, and cold., Wide range of relatively compact lens options., E-shutter burst shooting at up to 120 fps with AF-S and 50 fps with AF-C., Wide range of subject detection modes., 'Pro Capture' pre-burst mode.
Cons:
- Autofocus tracking isn't always reliable., Buffer takes a long time to empty.
