Olympus Zuiko Digital 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 Telephoto Zoom Lens
The Zuiko Digital 40-150mm f/4.0-5.6 lens was launched at the end of 2006 and is usually offered in twin-lens kits with Olympus DSLR cameras. Claimed as the smallest and lightest in its class, it fulfils the promises of the Four Thirds System in both respects.
Reviews: Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6: Review
Olympus has introduced a new medium-range zoom lens specifically
Great lens for distance shots.
Love it. Great value for cost. Took great pictures on vacation as we drove cross country.- Clear
- crisp pictures
If you spend money on digital SLR camera, you should purchase lens to go with it. It is major investment for the camera body, but the lens make the huge difference for the pictures. This lens is compact and durable. I like the lens a lot, the only complaint is the lens act slowly under low light.
Clear Optics at Good Price
Provides good reach for distant objects. Clear images with no chromatic distortion. Not great for photos of the moon or small objects at great distances. For shooting at great distances, I recommend spending the extra money and getting an 80-300mm lens from the same manufacturer.

Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 40-150mm f/4-5.6
At the 150mm end, the angle of view narrows to 8.2°, equivalent to that of a 300mm lens mounted to a 35mm full-frame camera.
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4-5.6
The 40-150mm is a good telephoto lens for interchangeable lens cameras that is incredibly lightweight and pretty sharp. Its build quality is not as refined as we would like, though the plastic construction isn't surprising given the budget price.- Good image quality
- Very lightweight
- Good price
- Plastic construction
- Lens can be difficult to extend because of the plastic friction
- though this does loosen up
- Relatively slow
