Olympus 14-150mm f/4-5.6 ED M.Zuiko Digital review by Perry Rhodan
On my new EM10 it really shines! Even better then on my former MFT bodies. Beats superzooms on other platforms (FF, APSC) by a large margin.
Pros:
- Very good IQ for a superzoom
Cons:
- no hood as standard

Olympus M.Zuiko ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 II Review
The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 II adds weather sealing, but doesn't offer any optical advantages over the first version of the lens. The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 II ($599.99) is a minor update to the original version of the camera lens, the M.Zuiko ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 ($599.00 at Amazon) . The optics and zoom range are the same as the first version, but the build quality has been improved and the lens is now sealed against dust and moisture. It's not the best lens for shooting in low light due to its narrow aperture, but it's a solid option if you're looking for an all-in-one zoom that will all but eliminate lens changes when shooting outdoors. The 14-150mm ($499.99 at Amazon) is compatible with Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras made by Olympus and Panasonic. Despite covering an epic zoom range (the equivalent of a 28-300mm zoom on a full-frame camera), the lens measures just 3.3 by 2.5 inches (HD) when set to its 14mm position. The 10-ounce lens does extend when zooming. The zoom ring occupies most of the lens barrel and has a textured finish. The manual focus ring sits in front of it; the len...
Pros:
- 10.7x zoom range
- Good center sharpness throughout most of range
- Weather-sealed design
- Nominal distortion
Cons:
- Modest aperture
- Weak edge and corner performance
- Lacks image stabilization

Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II is a modest but worthy upgrade to the 5-year-old M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4-5.6 lens. The biggest improvement is the addition of dust and moisture seals, which means the lens can be used safely in wet and dusty environments alike, as long it is...

I bought this for the times I want to travel light (situations where I want to have versatility between near and far focus). I pair it with my M10-II. The combination has worked well for me. I have used it primarily during the daylight hours.

So, so much better
Two months ago, I turned in my heavy Nikon gear, faithful friends for years, and swapped for an Oly e-m5 II. This was the lens I chose for its range and weatherproofing. I love it! I have taken over 500 photos since then and couldn't be happier.
