An excellent RPG experience

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir tells a truly intriguing tale through multiple perspectives. The gameplay is easy to grasp while still providing strategic depth, and the gameplay is varied and appropriately challenging. I would highly recommend this game.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

Gamers who don't connect with the story may find the experience too repetitive and overlong, but those who love 2D brawlers and these colorful characters will find a lot to love in Odin Sphere Leifthrasir.

For the young at heart.

Fairy tales are rarely complex, but from their simplicity grows profound truths that resonate with both young and old. Odin Sphere Leithrasir tells five such tales, all intertwined into an overarching volume, each story glowing with heartwarming sincerity and clarity.

Beautiful; fluid visuals; Loaded with details sure to make you smile; Simple; satisfying fairy tale story; Exciting and vibrant combat

Can't combine old combat system with new presentation; Repetition and limited inventory can drag things down

New Life For An Old Favorite

If you played Odin Sphere on PS2 and are curious about some of the specific changes, these are the most significant alterations. It isn't a comprehensive list, but these tweaks improved the experience the most for me.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Review

Odin Sphere is framed narratively as a series of books read by a little girl called Alice with her cat Socrates, in a delightfully presented opening sequence of her picking a book to read, each revolving around one of five protagonists.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir review – a sight for Thor eyes

A highly successful remake that fixes the technical and design flaws of the original and turns it into one of the year's best looking action role-players.

Some of the best 2D graphics ever, with some stunning art design; Enjoyable combat system, with plenty of upgrade options and some great boss battles

The inventory can still be a pain to deal with and the platforming's not much fun; Story structure and map design does encourage a little too much repetition

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir PS4 Review

What happens when you mix Norse mythology, fairy tales and fantasy If you add a dash of humor and a lot of creativity and give the mix a big shake, you might just end up with Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

All right, I am going to fess up before we get too far into this review; I somehow managed to miss out on Odin Sphere when it first released back in 2007. At the time, the game had a relatively positive reception critically, but it wasn't really atop the list of games that I would have expected to...

The amazing art style and incredibly deep RPG mechanics offer up a constantly exciting and evolving combat experience

With all of the different skills; powers and tools at the player's disposal; it gets very overwhelming to determine your best route to success

(PlayStation 4 Review) Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is a fantastic update to an already wonderful game. The numerous changes accentuate and expand on what made the original so good, and a Classic Mode offers purists the chance to play through the game in its high-definition glory but without any changes to the mechanics.
