The Nokia N8 is the best Nokia has to offer. A few years back thousands of people would take this to mean the best on the market. Things are not that simple today and Nokia has been learning it the hard way. But the company has been learning.

Nokia N8 Review
It feels like we've been talking about the Nokia N8 for a long time. February 2010 saw the first murmurings, followed by a string of leaks, rumors, semi-accurate previews and finally, around seven months later, a commercial release.

Nokia N8 Review
The Symbian 3 operating system is a stepping stone in addressing those issues, and the Nokia N8 is the first smartphone to ship running the revamped OS. It certainly brings some much-needed improvements, such as a simplified touch interface and enhanced multimedia capabilities.
Cons:
- Great camera
- Superb battery life
- Clear and crisp screen
- Decent audio output
- Stylish aluminium casing
- HDMI-out port
- Average virtual keyboards
- Unintuitive UI
- Unimpressive internet experience
- Confusing connection management
- Poor social network integration

Nokia N8
Though Symbian enjoys great popularity in other parts of the world , it's not well known in the States and is falling behind the competition in usability and functionality. - The smartphone has solid hardware and offers 3G support for both T-Mobile and AT&T

Cons:
- It's expensive

- The N8 can be sluggish
- You only get a QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode, and there's no user-replaceable battery

Final Review of the Nokia N8: Detailed Debriefing
The model sports one speaker, but it is loud and clear and can be heard from any pocket or bag. I like the gentle and fast tremolo of the vibro, but the majority of users may find it feeble. There are no complaints about the communication quality. Everything works well.

Review: Nokia N8 Smartphone
Nokia has had it rough lately. But with the feature-packed N8, the Finnish handset maker has finally earned a spot at the cool kids table. Okay, so…maybe not at the head of the table. The N8 delivers most of what we've come to expect from a flagship smartphone.
Pros:
- Anodized aluminum body easily makes this one of Nokia's sleekest designs
- Ships with multimedia cables
- Does a fantastic job at multimedia playback
- Video chat-ready with a front-facing VGA camera
- Mini-HDMI port pumps out video and Dolby Digital Plus audio.
Cons:
- Competitive with the Pros (iPhone, Android, Windows 7), but clearly won't convert the entrenched
- Non-removable battery = two steps back
- Symbian^3 OS's lack of polish puts a hurt on quick navigation
- Dual card bay (one for memory, one for sim) is a hassle to close.
- No U.S.

Nokia N8
in 2007, Nokia has failed to keep pace with Apple, HTC, Motorola, and other handset-makers. Now, Nokia has rolled out the N8, whose 12-megapixel camera puts it at or near the top of all smart phones in terms of still and video-recording capabilities.
Pros:
- Excellent 12-megapixel camera
- Sharp HD video recording and HDMI output
- Free turn-by-turn navigation with Ovi Maps
- Can use it on T-Mobile or AT&T
Cons:
- Runs slow
- Symbian3 OS isn't user-friendly
- Very few quality apps available in Ovi Store
- Full virtual keyboard only available horizontally
- No subsidy available for the phone

Nokia N8: Hardware Impresses, but Software Underwhelms
The Nokia N8 has some cutting-edge multimedia features, including a 12-megapixel camera and HDMI output, but the operating system feels stale and dated. When I first got my hands on the Nokia N8 ($550 unlocked; price as of 10/3/2010) back in June, I was impressed with its hardware and multimedia features, but had the feeling that the software was stale and outdated. After spending more time with the N8, I haven’t changed my opinion very much. If anything, I am even more impressed with the attractive hardware and the fantastic camera–which makes the dated OS even more frustrating.
Pros:
- HD video support
- Superb 12-megapixel camera
Cons:
- Software feels dated
- Keyboard difficult to use
