Great Phone.

This is a fantastic phone, especially for JB's pre order price. Coming from a Nokia 2.3, this is a huge upgrade for me. It has all the features I wanted such as NFC, large battery, big screen,clean Android OS. and it all operates quickly enough for my needs. The fingerprint sensor and face unlock are speedy and the very large screen is a bonus for my failing eyesight. With the long warranty, guaranteed updates and security patches I think I will have this phone for quite some time. Very happy with it.

phone that's my ear

Great battery life,,, stock android one... tough.. great reviews .. why rate it as a 1? Answer or make phone calls the phone mutes, dials other numbers and all sorts of weird and wonderful things all by itself. Great as long as you don't need a phone to make actual phone calls on.

Great phone, more visible content.

The phone is really great, being a Nokia the standards are set high already in a budget phone category. The screen's touch sensitive feature is exceptional, not in a good way, as it can (at least mine) detect the touch activity from a distance without even touching the screen. I.e. if I hover my finger above the screen, and not touching it directly, it still records that. Apparently, I have never seen that in any other phone before. Thus this is annoying as a lot of accidental touches happen, because of that.

Nokia G50 initial review: Big battery on a budget

On first impressions, the Nokia G50 seeks to offer the things that matter in an un-fussy fashion. You get a big battery, big screen and you're future-proofed thanks to 5G support and having the Android One program for software updates.

Big 5000mAh battery promises two-day usage; Headphone port in the top edge; 5G equipped; Android One program should mean regular updates;

It's a big phone; Lots of competition from Chinese manufacturers; Not especially great value for money;

Nokia G50 review

The Nokia G50 is another sub-$300/£200 phone with 5G, and it benefits from solid build quality and clean software. Like its direct rivals, however, it makes several telling compromises to hit those next-gen network speeds. You really need to ask yourself how much 5G is worth to you before committing to any of these phones, but if you do, the Nokia G50 won’t let you down.

Excellent two-day battery life; 5G connectivity for a low price; Clean software;

Low-res 60Hz display; Chunky design; 18W charging support, but only a 10W charger included

5G for very little outlay; Huge screen; Pure Android with guaranteed updates;

Performance sluggish at times; Cameras only so-so; Strong competition at this price;

Nokia G50 review: Buy for the battery and software, not 5G

The $300 Nokia G50 may get headlines for including 5G for its $300 price, but no matter what the mobile industry wants you to think, it’s not really a reason to buy this phone, or any other at the moment. Instead, you should still be looking at all the usual suspects — software, battery, screen, and camera — before making a decision. With the G50 in my daily use for more than a week now, I’ve found it wins in two out of those four categories, which means 5G is enough to tip it over the edge to become a recommended purchase. But you still need to be very aware of its one major downside. The Nokia G50 is a very big phone. The 6.82-inch screen is massive, the body is nearly 9mm thick and 174mm tall (the Galaxy S21 Ultra is 10mm shorter, for comparison), and it weighs 220 grams. It will bother small pockets, but never get lost in a bag. There is absolutely nothing subtle about it at all, and it is entirely unsuitable for use with one hand. The rear panel is made from plastic and is moderat...

Long battery life; Strong build quality; Fuss-free, reliable software; Guaranteed software updates; 5G for the future;

60Hz refresh rate screen; Low-resolution screen; Big and heavy;
