Nokia E7 (Unlocked)
Buying a high-end, unlocked Symbian cell phone like the $659 Nokia E7 is a dicey proposition, as Nokia has already announced it's switching to Windows Phone 7 for its future devices. But if you like Symbian, the E7 is a classy, beautiful piece of hardware.
Pros:
- Beautiful hardware all around
- Terrific camera and camcorder
- Plenty of business connectivity
Cons:
- Frustrating UI
- No microSD card slot
- Short battery life
- Very expensive
- OS is doomed

Nokia E7 Review
The solid build and very useable keyboard are both things we've come to expect from Nokia's high-end smartphones, as is the (generally) superb performance from its cameras. But Symbian, the stuff it all runs on, is slow, and just doesn't stand up to other phone's offerings, like Android and iOS.

"A quick overview of the pros and cons of the Nokia E7"
I personally purchased the Nokia E7 cellular device a couple of weeks after it was released. This touchscreen phone caught my attention when i first saw it. Its good looks, big screen, keyboard, long battery life and other specifications made it a phone i had to have.
Pros:
- Many unique features
- long battery
- keyboard
- thin
- good touchscreen
Cons:
- heavy
- sometimes slow
- not a huge selection of applications

Despite that, we still find ourselves liking the Nokia E7. The excellent build quality and proper keypad make it feel like an old-school business smartphone – a feel further enhanced by the slightly old fashioned operating system.
Pros:
- The Nokia E7's screen is one of its best aspects
- It can't match the resolution of the latest high-end smartphones – including the Apple iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S II – but it features more impressive colours than most, thanks to Nokia's CBD (ClearBlack Display) technology.
Cons:
- The Nokia E7 suffers from two big flaws
- One is the camera, which is the same as the snapper found on the much cheaper Nokia C6-01
- We were hoping for Carl Zeiss optics and autofocus – as with the Nokia N8 – but instead the E7 gets Nokia's EDoF technology.

Nokia E7 review
The Nokia E7 is a superbly built smartphone with an excellent display, a great keyboard and very impressive specifications. But smartphones are no longer about the specifications as much as the entire user experience, and it's here where the E7 fails miserably.

Nokia E7 review: Nokia E7
The Nokia E7 has some wonderful qualities, like great hardware and excellent battery life, but ultimately its inferior software trips up this business-oriented smartphone.
Pros:
- The Nokia E7 boasts a premium design and has a fantastic QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone's 8-megapixel camera takes excellent pictures and video. Battery life is also good.
Cons:
- The Symbian platform falls short of the competition, and the phone can be sluggish. The E7 has a lower-resolution display and doesn't have an expansion slot.

REVIEW: Is The Nokia E7 An Android Killer?
There's no point beating about the bush, the Nokia E7 is in a funny old situation. Nokia has essentially put the brakes on developing the Symbian software upon which it runs, in favour of using Windows for its future smartphones.
Pros:
- Great screen
- superb keyboard
- good battery life
Cons:
- Styling and build quality is disappointing
- Software is slow to use
- camera lacks autofocus function
