Nokia 4.2 review
The 4.2 has shown that Nokia can still produce good hardware, and combined with the slick user interface on Android One it provides an enjoyable user experience. This fully featured modern handset produces consistently solid performance, with above average cameras and impressive battery life.

Nokia 4.2 Review
The Nokia 4.2 has been a roller coaster. My initial review unit suffered from constant stutters and freezes that made using the phone a hair-pulling affair. The second unit has delivered a markedly improved experience, but it doesn't stop this $189 phone from having several compromises.
Pros:
- Good battery life
- Nice design and build quality
- Notification light
- NFC
- dedicated Google Assistant button are handy
- Android One means 2 years of fast updates
- Affordable
Cons:
- Slow performance
- Slow camera
- mediocre low-light photos
- Doesn't work on Sprint

Nokia 4.2 is HMD Global's latest offering in India, and it aims to leave a mark in probably the most hotly contested segment of the smartphone market. The new Nokia phone inherits its curved dual-glass design from its siblings in the current Nokia lineup, and offers a stock Android experience.

Nokia 4.2 review: Good, but not good enough
It's clear that the Nokia 4.2 is a slight misstep for the Finnish firm. We don't expect a phone at this end of the price scale to be faultless, but when the Nokia 4.2's issues are this plentiful – and the Moto G7 Play does things better in almost every regard – it struggles to earn a recommendation.

Back in February, HMD Global did its new annual tradition of revealing a whole flurry of Nokia-branded handsets. This year, and now the mid-range Nokia 4.2 has a US release date and price. It's available for pre-order today, and will begin shipping in two weeks' time on May 14, priced at $189.
