One of the best games ive ever played. Fast action rpg souls game with good graphics and great gameplay. Very hard but very rewarding.

NIOH is a game that shares very similar traits to another franchise you may be familiar with call Dark Souls although I don't like to compare them but they are similar in a few aspects one being this game is incredibly challenging.

Buy Nioh: Dragon of the North Nioh: Dragon of the North is downloadable content that picks up at the end of the original game. Dragon of the North takes you to the new region of Oshu and pits William against the legendary Masamune Date in a quest to bring peace to Japan.

Engaging combat that rewards skill and precision

Convoluted level design; limited bestiary; terrible bosses

The most reductive way to describe Nioh might be " Dark Souls in feudal Japan." Yet the Dark Souls games are so highly specific and demanding in their design principles that this comparison doesn't necessarily constitute an insult.

Game is hard. Enemies are really strong, and makes it challenging. There's something about the difficulty that makes the game so entertaining as well. For me, I like how I have to be tactical and strategic in facing enemies. The combat is deeper than a typical hack and slash.

Nioh isn't a masterpiece then. It's not quite fresh or original enough to be. But it is a return to form for Team Ninja, a studio many feel had lost its way after the departure of its founder Tomonobu Itagaki in 2008.

Nioh: Defiant Honor is the latest piece of DLC which sees us going to Osaka to lay siege on its castle and picks up right where we left off with the Dragon of the North DLC. The DLC is essentially two main story missions and a couple of sub missions.

Conceptually, Nioh seems to be tailor-made to suit our tastes. Far Eastern swordplay dressed up in a challenging, contemporary robe. An action-RPG in the vein of Dark Souls that adds supernatural spirits, demonic powers, and rapid sword fighting to the backdrop of a setting sun.

Fight your way through a feudal Japan mixed with monsters. Utilise 6 different weapons each with several stances. Upgrade your character and customise stats for your playstyle. Epic and unique boss battles push your limits. Tackle a level in co-operative mode.
