The Nintendo DS has been out since 2005, and in that time, we've seen a number of console revisions. The DS Lite added some much-needed streamlining to the original bulky Nintendo DS, while the Nintendo DSi added SD card support, a built-in camera, and the ability to download games to the system.

You would have thought that with all of the millions of DS owners worldwide already enjoying the delights that a Nintendo DS brings, and the relatively recent launch of the third hand-held revision, the DSi, that Nintendo would now focus solely on a successor to its incredibly popular console rather...

The Nintendo DSi XL is a well constructed, excellently finished handheld console that benefits greatly from a larger screen, larger stylus and restrained, more mature design that will net Nintendo a much bigger adult audience.

The release of the DSi XL, or DSi LL as it is known in Japan, was a surprise for many. Nintendo had already released three iterations of the DS hardware, and the DSi felt like the final handheld before a complete refresh was due.

I want to thank you!!! Last year I gave a ds xl to grandson. This year he doesn't want to share. I purchased this as a solution. 3rd party seller included 2 games, charger and stylus. Great bundle all in working order. I played Scooby doo swamp island game to completion in a few days.

The game selection isn't very huge. If you/your child is ok with this, then you should get it. Don't make it a priority over other consoles though.
