Nikon Z 58mm F0.95 S Noct is a Fixed aperture Manual Focus (MF) Standard Prime lens with 35mm FF max sensor coverage, and it is designed to be used with Z Mount cameras. What type of photography is the Nikon Z 58mm F0.95 S Noct lens good for?

Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm F1.8S Lens JMA001DA review
Of course you can still complain about the price while remembering fondly the times when 1.8/50 Nikon models could be purchased for less than $150. Still these were, both optically and mechanically, much simpler constructions which offered also lower image quality and poorer standard equipment.
Pros:
- solid
- mostly metal
- weather sealed barrel,
- sensational image quality in the frame centre,
- very good image quality on the edge of the APS-C/DX sensor,
- acceptable image quality on the ege of full frame,
- moderate longitudinal chromatic aberration,
- negligible lateral chromatic aberration,
- low...
Cons:
- distinct vignetting on full frame.

Nikon NIKKOR Z f/1.8 S Lens review
The new Nikon Noct is exceptional in its build, image quality and aspiration. Undeniably big, heavy and expensive, it’s impractical for the majority of Z-camera shooters, but actually more practical than I’d imagined. Its image quality is stunning.

Nikon NIKKOR Z f/1.8 S Lens review
What a dilemma. Discounting the price, this is an amazing lens that reaches the very highest level of quality. However, there are many lenses not that far behind, almost as fast, even at f/1.4 where the choice widens considerably. These are a fraction of the price of the Nikkor Z.
Pros:
- Outstanding sharpness, Virtually zero CA, Excellent flare resistance, Excellent handling, Quality manufacture, Custom functions for L-Fn button, Sublime handling of point light sources, Virtually no distortion, Beautiful bokeh effects
Cons:
- Huge price tag, Weight, Screw thread lens hood

Great Lens
I enjoy this lens much better than I did my 50 1.8 G. The images are sharp edge to edge and the bokeh is wonderful. These S lenses are quite good. I use the 50 1.8 at my Church quite frequently and on the Z6 it handles the low light as well as the stage lights around the baptistry and the photos are...

Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S Lens - Brand New review
What We Love. Objectively, the Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S is a fantastic lens. Among the three lenses that Nikon rolled out alongside its mirrorless bodies, the Nikon Z7 and Z6 , this 50mm contender is proof enough that the manufacturer is off to a great start with its Z-mount series.
Pros:
- Incredible sharpness across the frame Excellent flare and ghosting handling Extensive weather-sealing Handles nicely Silent and precise AF
Cons:
- Bokeh lacks character Signs of purple fringing Won’t blow you away AF not as good in low light

Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S
But if you're in the market for a 50mm for the Z, the 50mm f/1.8 S delivers fantastic results at a price that is more midrange than high-end. It's not perfect; I would have liked to see Nikon include fluorine protection, and the control ring is currently something I'm not happy with in any Z lens.
Pros:
- Super sharp
- Bright f/1.8 design
- No visible distortion
- Dust and splash protection
Cons:
- Sensitive control ring
- No fluorine coating
- Vignette at wide aperture

Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S Review
The Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S is a bright, sharp, fast-focusing standard prime lens for Z mirrorless cameras, and a serious value for the price. Make no mistake about it, the Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S ($599.95) is a serious lens. It may not have a sexy f/1.2 aperture—a Z 50mm f/1.2 S is coming in 2020—but its photographic chops are legitimate. It captures incredibly sharp images, even when shot wide open, and boasts speedy autofocus and protection from dust and splashes. It's not an absolutely perfect performer—there's a bit of a vignette and no protective fluorine coat on the glass—but given its overall quality, and exceedingly reasonable price tag, we're awarding the Z 50mm f/1.8 our Editors' Choice. Basic Black The Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S's aesthetics are purely understated. The lens is finished in matte black, with all functions and branding presented in a simple white typeface. The lens itself is sized in line with similar optics, measuring 3.4 by 3.0 inches (HD), tipping the scales at 14.6 ounces, and offering support for 62mm front filters. Compare this with the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 for Sony mirrorless cameras, which i...

Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm F1.8S Lens JMA001DA review
Nikon has been cranking out one gem after another with the Z-series lenses. Aside from the somewhat polarizing 14-30mm f/4, which we still praised at Photography Life (and bought for our personal travel photography use), each one has really knocked it out of the park.

Review: Nikon Z 50mm F1.8 S
The Nikon Z 50mm F1.8 S is a powerful standard lens for the Z system, offering outstanding sharpness and full-aperture performance. There are better 50mm lenses on the market for portraiture, but none that are sharper or so well-corrected for coma and longitudinal chromatic aberration when shot wide open.
Pros:
- Low light photography, where edge-to-edge sharpness at wide apertures is hugely beneficial.
Cons:
- Portraiture, where the slightly harsh bokeh can be distracting in some situations
