Absolutely brilliant lens
I would like to say this Lens is Worth a buy for Macro and Portrait enthusiast. Although price seems a big leap compared to its Tamron and Sigma counterparts, none of them can match its performance in image quality and Bokeh.

Highly recommended
I am a Professional Wildlife Photographer of many years. I use this lens in conjunction with Nikon D3X and full frame camera bodies. It is important to me to consider the artistic limitations of my lenses; I work closely in tandem with Nikon's 200mm Macro lens which is excellent.

Love this Lens!
This is a fantastic little mini short-range telescope, basically. Others complain of focus "breathing" which makes them have to recompose the shot. Seems moving the tripod slightly isn't that big of a deal. That's what composing my shot is a lot of doing anyway.

Excellent lens
I have been waiting for the price of this lens to drop for a long time. This is a solid lens, fast AF, and sharp.

I absolutely love this lens. It's great for portraits being as it's fixed. I shoot on Nikon D800 and the quality and clarity this lens gives is amazing. I know it can be used for macro photography, however, I shoot events such as Bar Mitzvahs and Weddings so I was looking for a reasonably priced...

I have never had so much fun taking photos.
I bought this lens a while back to use on my . The lens is overkill for my specific camera, but I have so much fun using it. The lens is incredibly sharp (in my case, the camera I am using holds back the lens' potential in that regard), and offers a very large aperture.

Superb piece of kit.... up to Nikon's high standard as I would have expected. Online service and local collection made so simple - cant fault product or service

picture quality and vaue for money.
All I can say about this lens is WOW!!!!! the macro pictures are mind blowing sharp ,it is also great for portrait photos and general photography top marks!!!!
