Great lens for the price; love it.
What a delightful little zoom lens for my D7200! Light weight, plus having VR makes it a great walk-around lens for outdoor (or indoor with very good ambient light) shooting. The VR is giving me blur-free images even with shutter speeds as slow as 1/20 if I don't mind an ISO up to 3200 (my preferred...
Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G DX VR AF-P Nikkor
After having bought the outstanding AF-P 70-300mm DX VR lens, I thought I would try this AF-P 18-55mm because of the many great reviews. I have the original AF-S 18-55mm VR (not VRII) released in 2006 as the kit lens for my D3100, so I thought I would get this new AF-P lens for my D5600 as an...- -Extremely fast focusing
- Average sharpness
- Lightweight
- -Plastic mount -No buttons for switches to control autofocus or vibration control
Misleading information!
Despite Amazon telling me that it fitted my camera, the D3100 and the fact that it attached to the camera the lens will not work with all but the latest Nikon cameras. The leaflet you get with the camera tells you that.
Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G DX VR AF-P Review
The Nikon 18-55mm AF-P VR costs around $250, for which you get solid performance. If you can grab a good set (with D3400 or D5600 or even with D7500) where you usually pay only some $100-150 USD on top of the body-alone price tag, the price / performance ratio gets even better.
I was so disappointed that they were misplaced my ordered
I ordered this lens but I received Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G Vibration Reduction II Zoom Lens instead. I was so disappointed that they were misplaced my ordered. I am not mood to sent them back because I am so tired of it. VR II price is about $250.
New Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens Black review
I purchased this lens to use as a light and cheap alternative to my other glasses when I work in the forest. It works perfectly on my D 7200 after a small micro focus adjustment. At 18 mm one needs to close the aparture with two stops or so to get good sharpness in the corners of the frame.- Good sharpness overall, especially at 55 mm
- Close minimal focusing distance
- Very compact and light
- VR works fine
- Focus is quiet, fast and accurate.
- Some purple and yellow chromatic aberrations in the corners of the frame No VR switch on/off button on the lens tube
- All plastic
- High distortion at 18 mm
Amazing 18-55mm lens, pure SILENT & fast FOCUS!
This lens (AF-P) is much better than AF-S as this does not make any sound while focussing, pure silent and "fast" focusing.I got this as kit lens with Nikon D5300 and I'm loving it! It's a newly launched lens from Nikon & you can update your camera firmware to use this lens. Attaching some pics...
For a beginner/amateur
Sample images of my 18-55mm attached herewith. I am still in the process of learning night photography and long exposure and these are what ive got for now. One thing, it is so weightless that i can bring anywhere I go even at work because I used to go for a shoot after work whenever stress comes...
