This is an excellent little walkaround lens that gives good performance and sharpness plus VR. It all plastic but seems reasonably put together but I don't really like plastic mounts but for the price of this one I can forgive it. Recommended...

NIKON AF-S DX VR 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6G Lens
Used mainly on my D7000 and is reasonably quick on AF; little adjustment on manual focus so have to have very light touch to get spot-on. Good macro capability for a kit lens; I use mainly for landscapes. It delivers IQ of a quality close to something twice the price.

Easy to use, great results.
This item was purchased to replace an exact lens accidentally dropped whilst on holiday on Norfolk Island - (not good). This lens is an ideal size for close up and distance shots and takes exceptional photos. Item forms part of my kit with a D7000 camera.

It's obvious reading some of these reviews that a lot of you aren't experienced or semi-pro photographers. This lens is an "everyday shooter," meaning I wouldn't use this lens to shoot a wedding.

Value for money all purpose lens
Reasonably priced lens that generally comes as a kit lens with Nikon's 3100,3200,5100,5200 body. Its a good all purpose lens with consistent results. Use it as a basic lens for general purpose photography.

Amazing 18-55mm lens, pure SILENT & fast FOCUS!

What a delightful little zoom lens for my D7200! Light weight, plus having VR makes it a great walk-around lens for outdoor (or indoor with very good ambient light) shooting. The Nikon 18-55mm AF-P VR costs around $250, for which you get solid performance. If you can grab a good set (with D3400 or D5600 or even with D7500) where you usually pay only some $100-150 USD on top of the body-alone price tag, the price / performance ratio gets even better.
