a real peach

What can you say: shes a gem. Hands down the sharpest lens Ive ever put on a Nikon. Used it with an f100, a D7100 (for a 36mm equiv), and a D810. I always suspected that it had more to offer than crop sensor or 35mm frame are able to resolve. Sure enough, it simply sings on FF.

Superb New F1.8

This is a lens for all seasons. The contrast and resolution is extremely high as compared to other lenses I use, and the color correction is at "top of its class". No purple fringing was noted when shooting into the sun or around backlit highlights, and the contrast wide open is extraordinary.

meh

decent lens. not sharp or that impressive as some claims. I used it with Nikon D7100. maybe if I use it with a full frame camera my opinion might change.

Wonderfully sharp prime lens

I have loved shooting with my fixed lens Fuji X100-T for ages and love it. With my Nikon DSLRs I usually use a 18-300 zoom which is excellent for travel. I finally bit the bullet to add a prime that does similar on the DSLR and was not Disappointed.

Great Picture Quality; Lightweight

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.8G ED

The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.8G ED is a high-quality, compact and affordable wide-angle lens for full-frame Nikon DSLR users. Centre sharpness is good at the maximum aperture, and excellent from f/2.8 onwards, although you need to stop down to f/4 to get acceptable results at the edges of the...

The Nikkor 1.8G series of lenses offer some really nice performance for the money, but it's safe to say that 3rd party lenses have come a long way in terms of performance over the past few years. Sigma is no exception to this; in fact one could say that it's led the charge.

Fast and light: Nikkor 24mm F1.8G ED lens review

The Nikkor 24mm 1.8G ED is a fast and lightweight wide-angle prime that offers very nice optical quality at a bargain price. The lens offers smooth and fast autofocus and a solid amount of light gathering ability with an F1.8 maximum aperture, which makes it one of Nikon's most affordable and best performing wide-angle primes.

The lens is great for architecture, landscape, astrophotography applications and photographers looking for a fast and lightweight walk-around wide-angle.;

High magnification/macro photography or shooters looking to use this lens in inclement weather conditions;
