AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens

Announced in mid-September 2010, the AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR is an update to the popular 24-120mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 VR that features a constant f/4 maximum aperture across the focal length range.

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm F4 G ED VR f/4 G 24-120 - Brand New review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

So as I eluded to in build quality some seem to be perfect in function and some seem to have issues. I have had two of these and a short search on the internet will confirm what I found to be true. The first one did not seem to focus well and seemed to have a catch in the zoom mechanism.

Nikon AF-S 24-120mm f/4G ED-IF VR

Although this is not a head-to-head test, reference has to be made to Nikon's other 24-120mm zoom; the well-established variable-aperture (f/3.5-5.6) model that was reviewed in our January 2011 issue.

Impressive optical performance

Bigger; heavier and more expensive than the variable-aperture alternative

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR

One of the main attractions of this lens is an immensely useful and versatile focal range that goes from ultra-wideangle to true telephoto.

Love this lens

Tack sharp through out the range. It compliments my 16-35 for land and city scapes. Shooting D810 with this couple gives me stunning images.

My reason for buying thisb lens

Because D800/D800E has been released, (actually I bought D800E), I needn to change from my 28-70 f2.8 zoom. but beacuse of its high quality of pictures of D800E, VR ssytem is enevitable.

Having used the old 24-120AF and two samples of the 24-120 ED VR with variable aparture, I was more than excited when Nikon announced this new optical instrument. It it superior to its predecessors in every aspect.

Sharp; Versatile

Distortion; Lightfall-off on 24 mm

Nikon 24 to 120 F4G ED VR Lens.

The savings made are fantastic however as this was advertised as a new lens I was and am disappointed to find no manual, & most importantly no sign of any warranty documents. Delivery was spot on so thumbs up for that. Thank you.
