So as I eluded to in build quality some seem to be perfect in function and some seem to have issues. I have had two of these and a short search on the internet will confirm what I found to be true. The first one did not seem to focus well and seemed to have a catch in the zoom mechanism.

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm F4 G ED VR f/4 G 24-120 - Brand New review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Very good walk-about lens

The previous effort by Nikon on this lens was a dud. This lens is noticeably better in all respect. I really like the zoom range of 24-120mm and although f/4 is not as good in low light as f/2.8 24-70mm, it's still a ideal compromise of reach, usability and low light capability.

usable zoom range; acceptable lens sharpness

I worried about image quality, but now my favourite len

When you think about it, zoom lenses were always about compromise. You trade a little image quality for the flexibility of being able to change your focal length 'on the fly' without removing the lens. Glad to say, those days are now gone.

Consistent Output; Quick Focus; Sharp Focus; Strong Construction

Great balanced lens

"I have been working with the Sigma 16 - 250mm F/3.5-6.3 lens for the last few years to make things simple. I realized I wanted more control over the f stop, and that the full zoom wasn't used as much as I thought.

The only lens that travels with me, when I want to travel light.

I was torn between the 24-70 f/2.8 and this one. Budget restriction and VR tipped the scale and I went for the 24-120 f/4. And what a good choice it was! I have a (brand new) D800E and the combination is awesome. The 24-120 f/4 actually delivers sharp (very!

it works nice with a D750. before I had a D7100 and 1-140 (210 53mm eq.) so now I miss the long end. maybe I go for the 28-300 some day.

constant f4; zoom range

not such a long tele-zoom end
