REVIEW: Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED
A well built and presented optic that breaks new ground on the camera it is designed for. Excellent image quality only slightly let down by the distortion at the wide end, something that can be easily sorted in post processing.- Good optical performance
- Extreme wide angle capability
- Excellent Build quality
- Some distortion at the wide end
- An expensive optic
- Lacking ability to attach filters
Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G AF-S Lens

Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G IF-ED AF-S Nikkor review by DaveJDSP
Amazing zoom lens. The image quality has a superb clarity that is hard to describe. It takes quite a good lens to impress me, but this one does. Unfortunately, the corners are not tack sharp until you get down to f 5.6 or f8.- Amazing clarity and IQ
- Corners not acceptable till you get to f5.6 or f8.

Nikon Nikkor AF-S 14-24mm F2.8G ED Lens AFS14-24MM F2.8G ED review
The Nikon 14-24mm ƒ/2.8G is an excellent wide-angle pro lens, with only two substantial flaws: lens flare, and the inability to attach filters. The lens hood does work to prevent flare if you can put it between the front element and the sun, but let's face it - this is a wide angle lens we're...
Once a groundbreaking ultrawide, this workhorse is now a little old and faces serious rivalries from third party makers such as Tamron 15-30. Still the optic quality is fully comparable even against the newest competitors and the build quality is nothing but exceptional.
- Decent optics
- very handy focal range and excellent build quality
- Expensive (compared with third party rivals)
- huge
- hard to use filters and very prone to flares
Nikkor AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8 G ED N - Review / Test Report
The Nikkor AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED N is a phenomenal lens. It is the sharpest ultra-wide angle lens tested to date. The resolution figures are simply stunning and unprecedented specifically at 14mm and that's straight from the maximum aperture setting.
