The Best Wide-Angle Lens Ever!

I got this as a Christmas present to help with my landscape and architectural photography. I am 100% happy with this lens as it has exceptional build quality, the photographs produced are sharp from edge to edge, and the lens is well sized and weighted.
Pros:
  • Easy to use
  • Compact
  • Build quality

This lens amazes me!

I purchased this lens about 11 months ago as a requirement for a class I was taking in Florida. We really never used it in the class but I did get some great shots on my own especially in the wetlands.

The ultra-wide features work exactly as stated. This lens is a big plus for architecture photographs. It is as expected heavy on a full-frame Nikon and I would like to use the built in wink flash rather than the external flash.I will be using this lens a lot. Wayne

Great lens I would not rule out a 10mm prime lens

I just returned from europe was very happy with the results I got from my new wide angle lens. Particularly the cathedrals and government building are in the center of town with many obstacles to work around I was able to get some great shots with this lens.

I do not think lenses can get any sharper.

You have to try this lens on the Nikon D850 if you want to see what this lens is capable of resolving. It just simply blew me away! Mind boggling details and resolution, I do not think that super wide angle zoom lenses can get any better.

Excellent but find yourself a good one

This is a fabulous lens, but make sure you get a good version. I tried a used model at first which had a faulty zoom control. Then I bit the bullet and went for a new one, which has been fantastic. Prices vary a lot, so shop around.

Solid performer.

Built like a tank, fantastic optical performance from Nikon. Finally makes up the the trio of f2.8's.....this 14-24, the 24-70, and the 70-200VRii, probably all the glass the enthusiast would ever need.

Warranty info

This lense appears to be a valuable addition to my photo equipment . I have used it many times in the one week I've had it. I have no regrets purchasing it. The only problem I'm concerned with is the warranty information.

Once a groundbreaking ultrawide, this workhorse is now a little old and faces serious rivalries from third party makers such as Tamron 15-30. Still the optic quality is fully comparable even against the newest competitors and the build quality is nothing but exceptional.
Pros:
  • Decent optics
  • very handy focal range and excellent build quality
Cons:
  • Expensive (compared with third party rivals)
  • huge
  • hard to use filters and very prone to flares

Sweet

This lens is great! I was looking at getting the 16-35 cause it was cheaper and could take filters but heard it wasn't as sharp. It shoots great in low light and the 14mm is good.
