affordable, easy to use, good for beginner stragazers

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: I purchased these binoculars last winter for stargazing because they seemed to be the best price for what you were getting. Indeed, these 7x50s have helped me see craters on the moon, open clusters, even Jupiter's moons in decent viewing conditions. Light but sturdy, too.

Nikon Marine 7x50 CF WP

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: Love these binoculars! Everything is so bright and crystal clear. Took them kayaking and saw osprey from over a half mile away without any trouble. The caps on the large openings do fall off and don't stay on at all. The caps for the smaller openings are great.
