Nikon D600

The Nikon D600 is a 'budget' full-frame DSLR aimed at enthusiasts upgrading from mid-range models or pros looking for an affordable backup for a higher-end body. A breakthrough price for a full-frame SLR, but you'd never guess from the features, performance or quality

Nikon D600 review Review

The D600 may sit within Nikon's 'consumer' dSLR line-up, but don't expect to bag one for a few hundred pounds -- not for a few years, anyway, and even then not brand new.

Price; Resolution; Image quality; Movie performance; Build quality

Occasional minor chromatic aberration with kit lens; Heavy when fitted with lens

Nikon D600

Full-frame SLRs used to be out of reach for most amateur photographers, but that's beginning to change. The Canon EOS 6D and Nikon D600 both use full-frame sensors housed in more consumer-orientated bodies.

The D600 isn't perfect, and perhaps this is because it's a blend of so much from two distinctly different camera markets - pro and enthusiast. Certain elements of the camera feel clunky, but then you're dazzled by the blistering performance elsewhere.

Great for the price

The image quality is great. I was surprised by the quality of the build(even thought there is that plastic feel)and the low light performance. No dust problems yet.

lightweight; FX; HD video recording features; Low light performance; 20 min video recording time and image quality

a bit plastic feel; but i guess i cant complain since its lightweight

Nikon D600 Digital Camera Review

The D800's little brother is a perfect choice for those with full frame aspirations.

Spectacular image quality; Faster than the D800; Sharp and flexible video

Inaccurate white balancing
