The USP of this camera is definitely its full frame shooting capability in a compact and small body. It lies somewhere between the D800 and D7000 from Nikon offering you the best of both the worlds at a very competitive pricing.

This Camera Makes It Great.

This Nikon DSLR D600 SLR Camera is a great camera to be owned. It has good image quality. The lcd is of 3.2 inches, the resolution is also great. The zooming is also good. It is 24.3 megapixels. The FX-format CMOS is not worth it.

Dust/Oil Spots again.

I have already sent the camera in once since Jan. to have the sensor cleaned and it resolved the issue. So I thought. After only 1500 photographs after the cleaning, the dust/oil spots are there again. I am dissatisfied even though the camera takes great photos.

Nikon D600 Review: Full Frame, Full Features, Smaller Size

Nikon was the first out of the gate with a mid-priced full-frame camera - the 24 megapixel D600. Targeting advanced amateurs, enthusiasts and pros who want a smaller, lighter second or third camera body, the D600 brings with it a good mix of features and a price tag that won't break the bank.

Excellent image quality; Full feature set; Dual SD card slots; Good performance; especially given its 24 megapixel sensor; Trickle down features from the D800; e.g.

Slow AF in Live View; Smaller AF coverage (compared to D800; Dual SD card slots vs.

Nikon D600 review

The D800's little bro packs most of the same awesomeness, but with a more manageable number of megapixels and a more palatable price. On paper there's a ton of power per pound, with that 24.3MP full-frame sensor, a built-in flash, dual SD card slots, 39-point autofocus, 5.5fps continuous shooting...

A superb full-frame camera and lens that is an exceptional value.

I purchased a factory refurbished camera and lens and am incredibly happy with this kit. The lens takes beautiful photographs (max. aperture f3.5 - 4.5) and the camera is totally fantastic. This combination focuses and shoots really quickly.

FF DSLR is now within reach!

The D600 was a huge upgrade for me, coming from a D40. I paired this lens with a NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII pro lens and WOW, it is amazing! I am getting fast auto focus at several apertures in light I wouldn't even think of trying to shoot the D40.

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Quiet; Small For A Full Frame

Maybe Too Slow For Sports; None For Most Users

Nikon D600: Worth the hype and some frustration

Parts of this article discuss video capability of the D600 and uses terms inherent and understood by

Decent feature set; good value; clean HDMI video out; excellent image quality

Focus point area too small; hobbled exposure bracketing; no live histogram; shrunken HDMI output
