Really good

I also own a D700 and overall, the at high ISO are better on the D600 which is good (sharper and less noisy at hight iso like 6400). On the other hand, I got difficulty controlling the exposure. Somehow the camera seems to slightly overexpose when compared to D700.

Nikon D600

It is hard to describe the D600 without superlatives. This 24 megapixels full-frame DSLR simply delivers the lowest image-noise and highest dynamic-range from any digital camera to date. Add to that the lowest street price of any current full-frame camera and we have an easy winner.

Class-leading image noise; Class-leading dynamic-range; Good color-accuracy after tweaking; Speedy autofocus; Generally fast and responsive; Ultra-short black-out; Flexible self-timer and exposure delay; Very sharp LCD; Highly customizable with plenty of controls; Dual memory cards can provide

Under-exposure more frequent than usual; Light entering OVF skews metering; Increased softness at ISO 3200; Strong anti-alias filter; EC button placement not ideal; Indistinct ISO button; Poor Live-view; not; Bizarre; Exposure Delay; No 16:9 guidelines for time-lapse; Slow playback mode; Only one

Love the full frame capability of this camera. You get what you see. I have found that it is 100% frame coverage in every shot I have taken. No more crop factor as long as you are not using DX lenses. Impressed with the noise levels at high ISO. 6400 is just as clean as ISO 800 on this camera.

Nikon D600 Review

There appears to be a move towards increasing the number of camera models with full frame (ie 24x36mm) sensors. Sony, for one, has even released a fixed mirror DSLR model with a full frame sensor.

Nikon D600 lives up to the hype

The Nikon D600 is a really good camera for the money, as long as you're willing to shell out for the lenses that can do it justice.

There's a lot to like in the Nikon D600 ; including a great set of shooting features; comfortable and intelligent design; and excellent photo quality and performance

Photos display some unrecoverable clipping in the highlights that you don't expect in a camera of its caliber

Nikon D600

Expect no less from Nikon DSLR especially a under 2000 dollar full frame! overall I would keep this camera with me forever. no intention of selling it or whatsoever. one flaw i must have to point out is the oil spot on sensor! after around 500 shots you will notice.

Nikon D600 digital SLR camera

The Nikon D600 sits comfortably below the Nikon D800 in the company's line-up, although it's put here by some very obviously engineered limitations in ISO performance and autofocus.

Excellent image quality; Near-perfect compromise between ease of use and functionality; Impressively low price tag

Inferior in some ways to Canon's competing 6D; Some artificial impediments versus the D800; Minor design niggles

Nikon D600

The Nikon D600 is a 'budget' full-frame DSLR aimed at enthusiasts upgrading from mid-range models or pros looking for an affordable backup for a higher-end body. Announced in September 2012, it's positioned roughly between the full-frame D800 and crop-format D7000 and combines many aspects of both...

Resolution drops to 10.5 MPix in DX mode; No exposure control during movie recording; Bracketing limited to 3 frames; Wifi and GPS are separate accessories
