Nikon COOLPIX A900 Digital Camera Review
The new Nikon COOLPIX A900 Digital Camera is a leader among recent "Coolpix" releases and it should be your first option if you're trying to decide on a high-quality travel camera.

Featuring a monstrous 35x optical zoom lens, it gives a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-840mm. The 1/2.3in sensor is capable of producing 20MP JPEG images (sadly, it doesn't support RAW), as well as giving you full manual control and a blistering 10fps continuous shooting speed to get the most...

Not good Quality of pictures
I purchased this camera around the first of Aug this year and do not like the quality of the pictures. Not the same quality as in the brochure.

Camera fine. Vendor misrepresented product.
The vendor for my purchase was Camera Works. The camera was listed as "New." It is NOT new. First, the packaging had all been opened, there was no documentation or warranty information, the wrist strap was missing. Second, the camera had been dropped at some point.

Amazing camera.
Wi-fi works like a charm with a phone app. You take the photo with the camera and see it on your ipad or iphone. Zoom just couldnt be better for this price and tech. 20MP is enough pixels for almost anyone I believe. Good buy for me.

Nikon COOLPIX A900 Compact Camera - Silver (26505)
Bought this while on vacation. Took ok pictures from screen but once uploaded to iPhone pictures looked much better. Camera felt good in hands. Shutter stopped working within a week! Returned it!! Hesitant to try the same one again.

The headline feature is the zoom. It is great. But do you want to carry a tripod with you It's pretty hard to hold a 20x image stable, yet alone this camera's 35x. However it has pretty good image stabilization, and REALLY good stabilization in 1080p videos as it over samples the edges and shifts...

Nikon Coolpix A900 Review: Best Budget Super-Zoom
Considering the price, image quality and feature set, the Nikon A900 is a pretty good value. Although we'd prefer a touch screen and a viewfinder, the Nikon A900 is a sold option for those who want to travel light with a camera that has many more features than a smartphone.
Pros:
- 35x zoom lens
- Flip-up LCD
- 4K UHD video and slow-motion video
- Good image quality
- Built-in help
Cons:
- No touch screen
- Lacks viewfinder
- No RAW option

Nikon Coolpix A900 Review
If you're disappointed by the price point of the Nikon Coolpix A900, it's understandable. After all, a camera with a 1/2.3-inch sized image sensor and inconsistent overall image quality perhaps shouldn't have a starting price point near $400.

Nikon Coolpix A900
In the world of compact cameras, manufacturers have to work hard to tempt you away from the ever-present smartphone. One way this is still possible is the optical zoom -- and if you're travelling or looking for flexibility, the bigger the better.
Pros:
- Long zoom
- Pocket-friendly
- Tilting screen and SnapBridge
Cons:
- Screen isn't touch-sensitive
- small sensor and there's no viewfinder
- Low-light performance could be better
