Great Binoculars!
Have been using these for about a year now and love them. The only down side to them is their flimsy lens caps which I replaced using Butler Creek brand scope caps. (Product # 34OBJ).

Great optics
I tried many 8x40 and went for the Nikon, because they were very good optically and I know the brand well (used their cameras for ages) just this size is a bit bulky, but the optics are well worth the compromise. Very nice.

Excellent product
Very pleased with all aspects of my purchase. 4 star rating only because i need to return item because of a small defect with the eye cup and the way it operated. My wife and I wear glasses and the binoculars did not function the way they were designed with a faulty sense cup.

Good quality and excellent visibilty
The quality that you would expect from Nikon, excellent visibility and ease of adjustment. They are not the slip in the pocket type of binoculars, but if you want a solid product which lets in plenty of light with pin sharp results, it will be difficult to do better than the Nikon Action EX 8x40.

Nikon Action EX 8x40 CF
The EX Action series produced by the reputable Nikon company consists of mid-range pairs of binoculars with the following parameters: 7x35, 8x40, 7x50, 10x50, 12x50, 16x50 , 7-15x35 and 10-22x50. All Action EX binoculars come with BaK-4 glass Porro prisms.
Pros:
- compact and solid body
- sensibly corrected chromatic aberration
- slight astigmatism
- low distortion
- small light fall-off on the edge of the field
- wide field of view
- good quality glass BaK-4 prisms
- circular exit pupils
- dark and clean inside the tubes
Cons:
- average transmission
- huge coma
- noticeable resolution decrease on the edge of the field of view
- no coatings on one air-to-glass surface of the objective
- field of view a bit narrower than that declared in the specifications

Very happy with the binocs
Very happy with the binocs. Thay have good size, easy focus, large viewing area, comfortable outer soft covering making them exceptional for the price. We use them primarily for birding.

Great buy of a quality product at a fraction of the value.
This was an outstanding EBAY buy. I needed these for aging and scoring live deer and for archery practice. I wanted decent quality but did not want to spend a great deal of money. This was the perfect sale. I use EBAY weekly to purchase sporting items and household items as well as some clothing.

Excellent producut, last forever. Extremely durable. From camping to concerts - I've used them in a variety of places and it's served its purpose.

I got these for my husband for christmas. He LOVES them, best binocular he every had. Highly recommend, excellent pair of binoculars for an excellent price.
