The downward trend in gaming to ever easier games has made things a bit boring. Mario Games have even gone to the point of putting in Super Guides if you die too much. Back in my day that sort of stuff was reserved for cheats.

I'm surprised at how well Nintendo has been able to make this game feel unique compared to the original. Luigi himself controls differently and allows for more varied stages. It seems like the developer went crazy with the onscreen action.

If your children have an older brother or sister, then this might be worth your time, if not....it can be very tricky, so I would suggest they start with New Super Mario Bros U instead.

Even for a seasoned gamer this is difficult, and its intended for kids... Since the timer runs out at the very beginning, you have no indication of when you will run out, enemies seem in an over abundance and items seem scarce.
