As I sit down to write this review, Dave – the channel, not "my mate" – is on behind me. The TV is turned down, so I am not sure what is on, but I can be as-close-as-makes-no-difference sure it was a show I really loved when it first aired on the BBC.

Sure-footedness and dexterity aren't necessarily attributes one would readily assign to the Mario brother garbed in green, but New Super Luigi U , an abbreviated spin-off of last year's New Super Mario Bros.

Being a Mario fan can be exhausting. With Nintendo transitioning the series into an annual cash cow, there seems to be a new Mario release practically every few months. Not content to let their Wii U heavy hitter go stale, Nintendo has spiced up their Mario launch game with some DLC.

Nintendo has nicknamed 2013 "The Year of Luigi." The brother in green will finally have his time in the spotlight now with Mario sitting out for the new release of New Super Luigi U . The new release is currently available as downloadable content for New Super Mario Bros.

Some standout moments, but otherwise an unspectacular collection of 82 short stages.

I decided to get this instead of the new mario bro's U. waste of money. I thought it would be great to buy this and play this with my little sister (11) it took us about an hour and half to do the first 2 levels. it is way too hard.

If you're like me, and you wanted something new and exciting, then you'll be left wanting more considering what you pay for New Super Luigi U.

Should not buy for a child as it is much too difficult which as a Mario spinoff I feel is wrong. My nine year old son could not get past level 3 so it is a complete waste of money where as Mario gives you 600 seconds to complete, Luigi gives you 100 seconds.

New super Luigi U is pure gold. From the moment I finished the first level, I knew I was in for a treat. My main beef with New Super Mario Bros U was that it was way too easy. Now, with the help of Luigi, I finally have a REALLY challenging mario game to play. As everyone says, Nabbit is great.
