It's probably best to start out by clarifying exactly what New Super Luigi U is. Put simply it is a downloadable expansion for the Wii U launch title New Super Mario Bros U. As you would expect you will need a copy of that game to play this as downloadable content.

Giving Mario's bumbling brother Luigi a starring role, the add-on remixes the game's 80+ levels, tweaks certain platforming elements and adds a new multiplayer character, essentially breathing new life into an already excellent platformer.

I decided to get this instead of the new mario bro's U. waste of money. I thought it would be great to buy this and play this with my little sister (11) it took us about an hour and half to do the first 2 levels. it is way too hard.

If your children have an older brother or sister, then this might be worth your time, if not....it can be very tricky, so I would suggest they start with New Super Mario Bros U instead.

Any Nintendo fan knows that 2013 is the "Year of Luigi", and to continue the celebration of the green-hatted plumber New Super Mario Bros. U has been transformed into New Super Luigi U.  This is not a new game per se, but it is a transformation of Mario Bros.

The inaccurately named "New" series of Super Mario Bros. games aren't exactly known for their innovation or challenge. They're solidly built games in their own right, but they haven't really pushed the platforming envelope.

A perfect challenge for people who think that Mario games have been a bit too easy lately; This isn't the safe, sterile world typically found in the "New" Super Mario series, Over 80 levels that will challenge and confound, all offered at a nice price ($19.99 for DLC available now on the eShop,...

…but he's only available in the DLC levels; It would have been awesome to be able to use him in the main game as well, This is not for the faint of heart - do not buy if you don't like absurd difficulty

If you're like me, and you wanted something new and exciting, then you'll be left wanting more considering what you pay for New Super Luigi U.
