Netgear N900 (WNDR4500) wireless router
Other nifty features include a traffic meter that can be set up to provide warnings when your data quota is a little too close for comfort; the USB ports support printer sharing; there are parental filters that work with OpenDNS, just like the ones in the Netgear N600 that we reviewed at the start- Excellent close range speed
- Good long range performance
- Reliable throughout our test period
- No ReadyShare Cloud feature
- Data transfer from USB a little slow
- Price
This is a sweet router.
My daughter has Playstation, we have 5 computers (4 Wi-Fi connected), use wi-fi for our smart phones, use Netflix, Wi-Fi Printer, etc. My last Netgear router was a 2006 version and it still worked after 6 years of continuous use (just needed rebooted several times a week, printer would drop off).- Easy set up
- never drops connection
- never needs rebooted
- really strong W-Fi signal in and outside the house
- Nothing

Product brief: Netgear WNDR4500 N900 router
We have been highly impressed with Netgear's routers of late, and the W4500 continues this trend. This dual band router supports Mbps connections as long as you have a compatible adapter, but even without this it delivers good, consistent speeds.
Netgear WNDR4500 Dual Band Gigabit Router Review
The Netgear WNDR4500 is the company's top-of-the-line router (unless we count in the recently announced equipment with 802.11ac support). It looks good with its large and pretty case with in-built antennas, handy indication system, two USB ports, dedicated Wi-Fi On/Off and WPS buttons.
Netgear WNDR4500 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router review
With all the hype around 802.11ac it's easy to forget that 802.11n is still the most prevalent Wi-Fi standard in use and can still deliver excellent value and speed. We've been mightily impressed by recent Netgear routers, especially the 802.11ac R6300, but although they've delivered great...
